They are "from from" the same galaxy?

Hmm. This must be some sort of ET language we`re speaking here...

I assume we all know about R2D2 in Close Encounters, right?

I never saw the E.T.`s in Star Wars, oh wait, Episode I doesn`t count as real "Star Wars" - the Yoda in the E.T. movie was not only obvious, it was referenced as a humorous part of the story when E.T. spoke to him.

@Phosphoreign I don`t think it messes with the continuity. It seems to me that E.T. didn`t recognize Yoda specifically, I think he just recognized a species from his galaxy. Then again I haven`t seen either movie in a long time; and I suppose it`s up to individual perception because neither character, nor their respective galaxies, really exist.

seems to kind of mess up that whole "long time ago, in a galaxy far far away" doesn`t it... if it was contemporary with "E.T." I guess I shouldn`t be surprised, just look at the two new star trek movies and you can see that history and continuity don`t really matter much to these jerks.
