The US military is really [email protected] at securing its data.

I can`t believe how bad the NATO countries are at securing their military data, it`s ridiculous. I have friends in the military, and they`re several years behind us civvies in terms of basic IT security. I work for a global transport company and even we get attacked daily, but at least we know we do and can hopefully fend off the huge majority of the attacks...

It`s okay. It`s going to take forever for them to translate our notes properly.

100% failproof way to protect nay type of data:
DO NOT CONNECT THE PC TO THE INTERNET

Seriously, why would they connect their "important" PCs to the internet? Why not just have a local network?

@Canoas: I don`t think it is as fail proof as you think. I believe the last time the Chinese hacked us they used an inside agent to place corrupted thumb drives around the office just to get at computers that did not connect to the internet. The thumb drives then uploaded viruses that corrupted the security network, would tunnel the data to computers that could connect to the internet then sent the info back to China.

I`m not sure how it was pulled off this time though.
