I loved the books. The first movie was only OK. It`s hard to do the books justice and keep the movie clean enough for the target audience.

I read the books and I thought they were meh at best. There were some good parts, but I thought it was too slow for me. I haven`t seen the first movie yet, so I can`t say whither it`s better or worse.

My brain still can`t decide if Jennifer Lawrence is attractive or not.

I hope it`s better than the first one but maybe,
for the discounted matinee price, I might check
this one out. Or wait for the redbox $1 rental

    1)Lawrence is hot.

Haven`t read the books or seen the movie. What`s the general concept of it all?

@Fwoggie2 The population is segregated into districts. Each year 2 `tributes` from each district are chosen to fight to the death. They`re kids.

Not a very original story and not particularly well acted. Cinematography and production values are pretty good though- Hollywood hopes the latter makes you overlook the former.
Given the ticket sales for the first one- and most of the other crap movies out there, they`re not wrong. Sadly.

wtf is going on here? I hate to admit I have read all these books, but I have, and found them to actually be very political and profetic. There seems to be some kind of huge discrepancy between the plot in the books and the timeline in this movie? where the hell is the second hunger games on the tropical island? have they skipped straight to part 3? wtf is going on? I hates it when movie makers f uck up this s hit...

The first film was pretty well made for the most part, but the poor quality of the writing shone through all too clearly for my taste. Of course, the same can be said of like 90% of the big-ticket movies ever made.
