43 minutes! Do I really need to sit through this? Of course video games are violent. Nobody wants to play a game where you run around picking flowers and catching butterflies!

Oh... wait, I did a lot of that in Skyrim... never mind.

"I think the really violent video game becomes a kind of simulator to practice on"

Of course. You really have a problem with that statement?

"games have a very negative influence for young people and suggested that Congress should intervene."

Well, she can go f.uck herself on that one.

Dianne Feinstein, AGAIN! When will that old hag give up?
Never of course, it`s what she does!

These guys are smart, too bad no politician will ever pay attention to them.

I think it kinda funny when this dried-up old Nazi khunt wants to piss all over the 2nd amendment and ban hundreds of guns, libs have no problem with it, but when she wants to ban violent video games, they start $#!+ing bricks as if they were singled out for constitutional protection (the games, not the bricks).

There`ve been some bad ones over the years, but this had to be the worst cure for boredom ever posted on this site. These guys cannot hold my attention even to the point where they finally decide to start bullpooting around and talk about something.

This isn`t an attempt to cure boredom, it is an attempt to start a flame war to drive up page views.

However since a gun post has been getting posted 3 times a day for months now it looks like everyone is too tired of it to have a go here.

Okay, so, as a liberal, one might think I`d jump to her side here and support her in this quackery. Nope. She`s a freakin` idiot and I wish people would just stick with facts in the discussion (there are plenty of them). She does the conversation a great disservice by spouting pseudo-science BS when there`s plenty of actual statistical data out there to discuss regarding gun violence. And none of it shows any causal link between violent video games and gun violence--which, if the good Senator would think about it, would be inherently obvious. I mean, don`t Canadians play the same video games we do? Don`t the Japanese? The Germans? Etc.? What a shame she undermining any legitimacy that could be brought to the conversation. :-(

Military and police training and service is a much more potent training ground for violence in civilian life.

    @OldOllie

Your comment got me thinking that video games were probably protected under the First Amendment:

Just another thing to place blame on because she can`t understand personal responsability. These are not the people you want making laws.

    I`m GLAD you`ve come to your senses @SmagBoy! ;-)
    At least temporarily!

Canadians do. Japanese play MUCH MORE SICK AND TWISTED GAMES ZOMG!!! Oh believe me! They do!

German games are "controlled" by their government... so no. They get the "censored" version of many games...
