They Found Him!

A "blogger" figured it out and contacted police (FBI) who arrested him.

My Mistake: Anthrax isn`t easier to absorb than Ricin, it`s the other way around. Anthrax needs to be breathed in or touch an open wound, while if Ricin contacts your skin? It`s in!

Just in case anyone cares ;-)

The FBI today broke down the door to a chinese restuarant and carried out controlled explosions on a number of meals having been informed that they had ricin.

@aj: Really? I`d assumed they mentioned Obama`s letter because there was something "to it".
Today was the "report day" eh?

Well, I`m actually VERY glad that neither person was threatened by such a thing! :-)

One less GDMFSOB thing to worry about...

Well they came out and said the letters had no harmful substances.

@Draculya: I hope my reply didn`t get "lost in the silliness"...

Yes, Ricin is indeed "worse than" anthrax... pound for pound...

Anthrax is "more stable" (slightly) and even easier to "absorb" which make it highly "weaponizable". But "pure" Ricin is lethal in tiny quantities...

"Zyklon-B" the Nazi "Gas Chamber" gas? Was based on Ricin...

Being unstable is a good thing if you want it to "kill, then go away" quickly, eh? If it contaminated an area for 100 years that would be... not good! (like Plutonium!)

Also: I NEVER claimed ANY of them were "correct" or "logical" I simply said they are VARIATIONS that people sometimes use!

This is 100% CONFIRMED by all your links!

Sorry for so many "all caps" but really? I`m 100% right :-)

@chalket: I see your "U R Wrong" and raise you a "strawman".

#1 I did not say "I could care less" IN FACT! It`s "I could care less... if I tried!" So that`s like "editing" "I did NOT beat my wife" to read: "I did beat my wife!" OK? Deal with MY version... if you can find it, it`s a LOCAL variation!
#2 Same thing, it`s not my expression, I`m still "correct".

FURTHERMORE: "I couldn`t care less" is ILLOGICAL! If you care enough to comment? Then it IS POSSIBLE to care less! If you didn`t comment, see? So MY statement (NOT your "paper tiger") is correct. Even if YOU haven`t heard of it? Well...

You can guess my reply... ;-)

@Qwerty: Happy to amuse you! Ooo baby! Talk dirty to me! :double wink:

@Draculya: Yes, it`s a deadly "neurotoxin" and even a tiny "dot" can kill you. It`s one of the most dangerous things (by weight

I love political post comments. Always the same cast of characters, saying the same hilarious things. Only real reason I still go on IAB. Please, keep it up. I can insult people too if it helps.

@5Cats
It`s not ironic.
It`s not correct.
FYI: The "Harper Dictionary of Contemporary Usage" calls your version "an ignorant debasement of language".
What Should You Do? Stick with "couldn`t care less."

@markust: it depends on the inflexion (I hope I used the right word).

I COULD care less... if I TRIED to! (the "to" is understood)

"It is possible I could care less about it, but that would require some effort on my part because I already care SO LITTLE it`s difficult to get below that..."

Any better?

ALSO: It`s ironic because if I cared enough to expend ANY effort in not caring? That would mean I care more than I already do! Or don`t...

"I could care less... if I tried!"
"I couldn`t care less if I tried!"
"I couldn`t not care less."
"I could not care less."

Only the second and last one are correct. The other two are just nonsense.

@tedgp: As @CoyoteKing has kindly pointed out: there`s MORE than ONE version of this expression! Trust an `IAB Liberal Brigade` member to allow ONE AND ONLY ONE viewpoint...

"I could care less... if I tried!"
"I couldn`t care less if I tried!"
"I couldn`t not care less."
"I could not care less."

See?

@Zeegrr60: Hey, did you at least READ the article this time?

Still doubt that the world is chanting "DEATH TO THE PRESIDENCY!!! DEATH TO THE PRESIDENCY!!! DEATH TO THE PRESIDENCY!!! DEATH TO THE PRESIDENCY!!! DEATH TO THE PRESIDENCY!!! DEATH TO THE PRESIDENCY!!! DEATH TO THE PRESIDENCY!!! DEATH TO THE PRESIDENCY!!! ..."?

Time to look at what it`s doing to cause everyone to say and do these things around the world. I suspect it may be because it`s a big supporter of terrorism world wide, it`s own version of terrorism. It`s been hinted at by people world wide.

OldOllie, Wicker sided with a group of Democrats in support of a (very weak) gun control bill just before the ricin was sent. If you`d get your head out of your fat conservative azz you might have known that.

I`d just like to point out here that the first anthrax mail (just after 9/11) was the work of a domestic nutball doctor whose ultimate aims were cryptic, and remain so even today. So you know, nothing to do with foreign parties.

Oh and Ollie, heard about the senator just last night on Maddow as a matter of fact. No one should be threatening public officials period, I don`t care what party or ideology.

@canusuck: In fact, a recent "market report" said there would be a huge collapse before the end of Obama`s term... but then again they`re always predicting "doom" eh? :-D

For those too lazy to read: Both a Republican AND Obama (a Democrat) got "tainted letters" from the same kook. No word yet if it was "trace amounts" or actually dangerous quantities... but it sure looks like it was deliberate either way...

The first reported ricin-containing letter was sent to a Republican senator, but I guess that didn`t fit the liberal agenda to get low-information voters like BoredFrank to hate conservatives.
