@An-egg: In that posting of yours on tineye, the fourth picture is 100% real, I`ve been there. (Shamlan, N Yemen) I believe it`s a monastery, and very old. The peculiar thing when you get up close, is all of the modern water-pipes etc that are just put all over the outside without any regard to the aesthetics.

That`s a pod from the London Eye ferris wheel. It`s a silly paste job.

@BritishInvasion: lolz! Yeah, you have an "open square bracket" somewhere. It eats the post below yours.

Just delete the offending posts and they`ll vanish! :-)

Then copy & paste the address in the second box, copy over the existing "http" but I don`t think it matters.

No. What material could they possibly be using for the walkway to be supporting the pod? Fake.

It`s NOT anchored from that tree. That tree couldn`t support the empty weight of that pod, much less with people in it. most likely that steel walkway going out is the actual support. it probably a cantilever, which means it`s a steel support that goes deep into that rock and has more a longer length inside the rock than outside of it. The guy wires coming out of the top and going to the tree are either non structural or just meant to add a small amount of structural rigidity in high wind.

Or............the whole thing is a photoshopped fake.

Sooner or later that branch, or indeed the whole tree, is going to break. It`s just a matter of time.

I`d rather not test my luck by going in there, k-thx.

might be okay- I would prefer to see how it is fixed.... and how high it is. Could be twenty foot up. Or it could be two hundred...

Why didn`t they anchor the pod (which looks exactly like the ones used on the London Eye) to the rock which is far stronger and more stable then tying the pod to a tree. Not to mention the strain on the poor tree.
