Hey, DromEd, he *allegedly* did all of that stuff. He`s not been tried in court. To just pretend like anyone we think is guilty actually is guilty would not end well. Due process, the justice system, constitutional protections. You should try it sometime.

worked for me....he makes excellent points, but does nothing to actually adress the gapping holes in the actual boston marathon bombing story.

@DromEd: Well, if you were referring to Laura Ingraham, I don`t think there`s much merit to your complaint.

Stewart prominently displays the date of the clip as 2009. And using a clip from four years ago isn`t somehow misleading. The point Stewart is making is that FOR YEARS, Fox has been telling its viewers that Muslims "hate us for our freedoms," which are presumably one of the reasons America is great. Yet when the going gets rough, it`s remarkable how eager Fox`s commentators are to jettison those Constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms for an American citizen who`s been accused of a terrorist act.

Nothing was out of context there; nothing was misleadingly presented.

Fox news lies, legally(google it). AND, we have no constitution, we have the Patriot act. Read it. Even though the courts have found it illegal.

"And really John? To further you bit you pull a bite from Ann Coulter (who is a commentator not a news anchor) from 2009. Weak sauce dude."

Jon Stewart Doesn`t deceive people like that. Again you are thinking of Fox News. Jon has the date of the clip put into the clip. If the date isn`t there the clip is from the same day as the last time the date was inserted. Anne`s clip was dated April 22 (5 days ago not 2009). Here`s the full clip. You love being lied to so much by Fox News that you even make up your own.

As far as not Mirandizing him, who cares. That only matters if you plan to use what he says in court.

Given all of the evidence already in hand, there is MORE than enough to convict him without using his own words against him.

What? People are acting surprised that Fux News hypocrisy pegs the bullschitt meter on a minute by minute basis.

Like you didn`t already know that.

Oh paleeze.

The guy`s a terrorist who blew up civilians. He then carjacked a guy with the intent to head to NYC to blow up some more people who never did anything to him. Along the line he`s culpable for another murder. Then he`s caught.

As there was still a questions as to the possibility of further danger to the public...

The public safety exception

was a reasonable response by LEOs.

And really John? To further you bit you pull a bite from Ann Coulter (who is a commentator not a news anchor) from 2009. Weak sauce dude.

@OldOllie: How was it taken out of context?! It`s not like the video cut in with them saying, "I like to wear women`s underwear!" and then cut out, only to find that in the original they were quoting from a play or an article or whatever. *That* would be out of context.

What we saw here was people discussing their feelings about how the Boston Bombing suspect should be treated. Period. Nothing out of context. They believed he should be tortured for information, should be denied due process, that his family and associates should be monitored, regardless of warrant, that any Islamic temple, regardless, should be treated as a threat to national security. Nothing out of context there.

Then, they were seen unwaveringly supporting the 2nd Amendment.

That`s not "out of context", that`s "hypocrisy". I know the words sound similar, but they`re not. As others have pointed out, MSNBC is guilty of it, too, so don`t worry. FOXNews i

C`mon! You didn`t even crack a smile at the close?

"God help us if the Muslims ever decide to form a `well-organized militia.` We`ll have no way to stop them."

Unrelated: Ollie, do you ever... oh, i dunno... take a shot of whisky? Sometimes it`s good to let some steam off, you know what I mean? =^.^=
That was funny. And Fox is silly and stupid. But to their credit, those are opinion/talk shows, not news shows.
Actually, it was tiresome and trite. Most of the stuff there was either taken out of context or it was perfectly reasonable. I have to admit, though, he sure got his studio audience hooting like a pack of wild chimps.

In fact if I were to choose two intellectuals to dine with and I dunno sight see around DC with, it would be Stewart and Maddow. It would be like cramming 10 tons of awesome into a 5 ton bag.

(And Colbert would come in a close third choice).

"MSNBC I see as...like have you ever seen that old TV show The Munsters? You know how Marilyn was the only normal one of that family? You`re Marilyn."-Jon Stewart interviewing Rachael Maddow.

*Meaningful look at Markust*

The Daily Show, the 5th estate, keeping the 4th estate honest.

What? You disagree with the notion that Republicans and most Fox News anchors are two-faced clowns when it comes to defending liberty?

I dislike America because (don`t get me wrong I don`t hate it, I just have no intention of getting a new passport any time soon) because it seems socially (based on my own personal experience) to be like a high school environment. Everyone is divided into cliques that reflect a stereotypes... also the morbidly obese people. And hell, most of the people I`ve met in the states were really nice people, many of them ignorant of what life is like in other countries. I.e. don`t you say "eh" all the time, do you have do you have internet in canada, isn`t it always snowing up there etc. but everyone seems to be chopped up into stereotypes. AND THE BLACK PEOPLE! I thought they only dressed like that in rap videos. I mean C`MON, grills? WTF?! (I`m half black it`s okay ;D )

"Stewart is a fapping f***tard."

You are just a humorless crotchety old f.uck huh?

Are you a really sweet guy in real life and this is just your internet release or are you like this in real life?

Do you sit on the front porch with your shotgun and yell at the kids that get on your lawn?

To be fair you could do this with MSNBC clips also. But now you understand why the Fox News/MSNBC viewers on IAB are so consistently misinformed. To really solidify the brainwashing they go to partisan sites that push the same ridiculous spin and lies until they become "fact". One read of OldOllie`s posts should turn anyone off to cable news forever.

the true comedy of this piece is the fact that all of his fox news scnippets were actually shown on fox news. the only thing i am taking seriously about his show is how stupid fox news is and how stupid the people who agree with them are. quick question for all those fox news watchers. how can you call it news if over 80% for their entire programming is considered opinion. there should be a rule about this sort of thing.

The funniest part of the whole thing is that some people still take anything they hear on this channel seriously. I can`t wait to hear what all the IAB conservatives have to say...
