Link: Fireball XL5 : Colorized - Well done, but no substitute for the original black-&-white version.

    A Planetomic Warehead! OH NO!!!!
    :-)

I approve. If Gerry Anderson could`a done it in color, he would`a.

I`m trying to remember the lyrics for the theme tune but all I can come up with so far is `I wish I was a spaceman`.

Damn, it`s going to bug me all night now till I remember them, and I don`t want to google it or come back to the comments because someone is bound to have posted them by then.

    @ Listy

    I wish I was a space man.
    The fastest guy alive.
I`d fly you round the universe,
    In Fireball XL-5.
    Way out in space together,
    Compass of the sky,
My heart would be a fireball,
    A fireball,
Everytime I gazed into your starry eyes.

We`d take the path to Jupiter,
    And maybe very soon.
We`d cruise along the Milky Way,
    And land upon the moon.
    To our wonderland of stardust,
We`ll zoom our way to Mars,
My heart would be a fireball,
    A fireball,
If you would be my Venus of the stars....

    You`re welcome.

I especially liked it at the 3:45 mark when she starts giving him a hand job.

"If Gerry Anderson could`a done it in color, he would`a."

Good point, and the color material looks great. Gotta admit I have a soft spot for the B&W originals. "Fireball" was one of my favorites as a kid, and a high point of Saturday morning TV viewing.

I watched this show the same day that my older brother came down into the basement where the T.V. was and told me that someone just assassinated our president.
I said, "What`s a president?" He said, "He`s like a king." "Well, what`s assassinated?" "Killed."
"Someone killed our King?!" (True story) You`d have to be old to remember that one. I was four.

I use to love this show. Unfortunately, I only got to watch it every other week, because I had to take turns picking the channel with my brother. He use to watch some stupid cowboy show. I don`t think he really liked it; he just wanted to make me mad. For the same reason, when it was his turn to pick the ice cream, he would get coffee or black walnut because he knew I hated those flavors and wouldn`t eat any. Most of it went to waste, because he didn`t like it either. There was always most of the carton left over at the end of the week. He would always eat half of what I picked when it was my turn, which was usually chocolate chip.

Gee, Ollie, I`m glad you got that off your chest. I hope your brother grew out of being a total prick.

He did for a while, but later in life he actually got worse. Now he`s a flaming liberal (he adores Michael Moore and Keith Olberman). He fell in with a bunch of radical leftist college professors at the community college where he taught for many years, and since he has a rather weak personality, he simply conformed to their radical and hateful beliefs. It`s too bad, because all that hate has eaten his guts out. He`s had multiple heart attacks, cancer, and arthritis.

    lol Thanks Gerry.

I tried all night to remember the rest, although I did mostly remember lines 2 and 4.

Today is going to be spent watching a few old shows like this, captain scarlet, and maybe joe 90.

@ OldOllie ... touching, now get over it.
I had 3 older brothers who let me know early that torture is just part of growing up. But the youngest has weapons too, like a well timed fake cry just as mom enters the room "What did you do to him! Go to your room!" And then I`ve got the tv all to myself.
