Maybe the invisible sky wizard is mad? Maybe we should sacrifice our children. I know the invisible sky wizard loves when you do that.

All of these occurrences are readily explained, although as reported in various meteorological tomes , weather patterns are changing due to global warming. What has changed is global NEWS 24/7 that now reports every flea fart from here to Borneo.

Charles Fort wrote 4 books on the subject over a century ago.

Anomalistics is relatively new, but people have been reporting strange things since... forever!

Lights in the sky? Strange object falling? Animals falling? Fish falling? Snow in summer? Bugs in the winter? Weird sights, sounds and smells galore!

    It`s nothing new.

Woo Hoo! The Book Of The Damned (1919). You can read Fort`s books on-line, for free!
    The link came from Wiki...

His style is... unique! A form of "deadpan sarcasm" that blends facts and fictions so seamlessly... it`s amazing.

    "A PROCESSION of the damned.

By the damned, I mean the excluded.

We shall have a procession of data that Science has excluded."

You gotta love the laughing, clapping firemen.

And if patchouli is right and there is no G-d (invisible sky wizard), then we should feel free to laugh at others` misfortunes and maybe even steal stuff and kill people, because hey, morality comes from religion, and if all religion is wrong, there`s no morality! Orgies and mass murders, here we come! Woo hoo!

So you`re one of those extra nutty types that feel that Atheists are all evil? I think you will find that atrocities committed by and in the name of the Church are substantially more morally bankrupt than anything any atheist has ever done.

Atheists choose to be good people because that`s how a society functions. Religious nuts only behave because they are afraid of the invisible sky wizard (yet still somehow manage to defile little boys and murder in the name of their God). But hey, you go on thinking what you want while your religion rapes, pillages and destroys out society.

    morality comes from religion...
I will concede that for some otherwise sociopathic individuals, fear of eternal damnation is the only thing that keeps them from robbing and raping their way through life. However, for many of us, civilized behavior is a natural state and an absolute requirement for living in a civilized society.

While some nonbelievers are also non-nice individuals, remember that there is a downside to religion as well, e.g., Muslim terrorists and pedophile priests.

Actually, I don`t see much correlation between religiosity and civilized behavior.

The spiders in Brazil is a common phenomenon, they said it happened every year. I don`t know why people made a hype of it only now. Sinkholes are also pretty normal.

Current studies of the background convicts has shown the opposite of what you stated: The more religious an individual before conviction, the less regretful they are about the circumstances that led to their conviction.

You said "...fear of eternal damnation is the only thing that keeps them from robbing and raping their way through life."
Religiousness and the fear of damnation does not deter criminal behavior in non-sociopaths. Neither does criminal law.

I feel the answer lay somewhere between Clockwork Orange and just teaching a person to be better verbal communication but, 1% incarceration is increasingly useless.

    A pipe breaks.
The water erodes the soil around it.
How is this a "natural" phenomenon?

Most religious types oppose abortion, the sacrifice of children, due to their faith.
