the whole `milk snatcher` thing was pure labour opportunism, they had planned to do exactly the same thing but then lost the election.

Here`s some other facts: She was a hardcore conservative that made Reagan look like a liberal. She abolished worker unions, privatized dozens of services (and not for the better), and was known as the "Iron Lady" because she would never compromise on any issue. Not someone I would look up to, if you ask me.

    6. The term "headbanger" is related to her signature swept-back hairdo...

    7. She once kneed a man in the nads so had, every guy within a mile said "OOOWWWWWW!!!!" and fell over...

    8. During Apollo 12, she walked by a console and flipped a switch, saving the lives of the astronauts...

    9. It was an inter-government secret that Ronald Reagan thought she was a guy in kilt. On several occasions, he offered her a briefcase to "better hold documents than that handbag looking case..."

    10. It was also well known that the clanking heard when she walked was the very large set of balls she carried within her handbags. Not that she need an extra set, she just like the noise...

Forgotten facts? Someone doesn`t really understand the word `forgotten`....or `fact` really seeing as people having chemistry degrees are hardly rare.. nor is someone getting one from either oxford or cambridge really... it`s not like they only award one a year.

People often talk about her as a great leader, and how bad the UK is now.
When exactly was her golden age?
2 months in 1982, the rest of the time, her corrupt party was dismantling the country or shielding war criminals.

forgotten fact- glancing at the Telegraph this morning, they seem to have forgotten that A class, hard nosed, woman hating, old cow wrecked my sodding country. They have several street parties last night- I wish I could have attended. It is her you have to thank for this financial mess the whole damn world is in....

    @Madduck
How much longer is the left going to keep blaming Thatcher for everything? "The mess we`re in now?"
We were in a worse mess when she took over - we had to borrow from the IMF and the Germans, `cos Labour screwed up even more that time. We had a load of state-owned industries that ate subsidies
and produced zilch. We had a political elite that caved in to anyone - Russians, miners, trade unions in general. She and Ronnie saved the world despite all the Kremlin-sponsored
crap from CND. If you are still blaming her for your problems, maybe the problem is with you...

The Left will stop blaming Thatcher for the destruction of the core of Britain leaving us a fragile empty shell ripe for the deregulated bankers to eviscerate, they will stop blaming when it ceases to be true. History doesn`t change cos your fed up of hearing it.

And yeah, I remember the milk stopping when I was a kid. Bitch

    (1) How do you eviscerate an empty shell?
    (2) I see for you revenge is best served not so much cold as cryogenically preserved, since you must have been, what, eight, tops, when she took your milk away. Her budget was cut, instead of cutting schools, she cut at the periphery - not being a branch of the Department of Health. The first cut is the deepest, eh? (Funnily enough, when I was a Leftie, and hell was I, I never trusted Tony Benn
because he ruined my adolescence by banning pirate radio, leaving us with Radio bloody One. Same sort of feeling.)
A couple of years later some of us Lefties were quite pleased that apparently, rickets had re-appeared in Newcastle, or somewhere. Can`t trust parents to spend a few pennies on their kids` health.
Real Bad Move at Education was, as she later said, cutting grammar schools.
