Very interesting, except the one about the blind guy is not true. At least according to wikipedia, he just died of prolonged ill health. Makes me wonder which of the others aren`t fully "true"

even if the one about the blind man committing suicide isnt true, thats still something to think about. the real world turned out to be more horrible then he couldve imagined.

#1 Um, 50,000 "teen wannabees" have said exactly the same thing. 3 became famous and exactly 1 killed himself... or Courtney did it...

    Off to a poor start...

#2 Bugs are "not vegan"??? BUGS? Bugs who died because that`s how Mama Nature made them?
I... didn`t think it was possible for vegans to any stupider... I was mistaken!

    #3 That`s just stupid...

#21 "Percussive Maintenance" FINALLY! Something useful!

I... must have... dozed off between #4 and #20... ZZZzzz

The term is `titbits`. Americans changed it because they thought it was naughty I guess.

The one about the prostitute pirate is absolutely true. Her name was Cheng I Sao. She was concubine to a pirate who commanded several hundred ships. When he died, she became commander and was so successful that she increased the fleet to over 1500, just like it says. The only inaccuracy was that she was a concubine (and probably an adviser to the pirate who died since she was the brains behind the operation), which is not technically a prostitute, but close enough, right?

@landoGriffin: The "prostitute" part really threw me! "Concubine" makes a LOT of difference given the time and culture. I bow to your (linkless) knowledge!

China was weird, and had LOTS of Pirates!
Women Pirates were NOT that uncommon, and may were captains! Some of the best in fact.

I didn`t know about Pixar bringing `UP` for that little girl (Colby). So freaking sad...not a good way to start the morning.

@McThstlpnts - You must be one of those idiots who believes everything you read online. You better watch out, you`ll wake up in a bathtub full of ice one day and find out your kidney is missing.

Someone should administer some "percussive maintenance" upside the heads of John Boehner and Mitch McConnell.

#1 I doubt very seriously if that many "wannabees" aspire to suicide. You would think they`d want to enjoy their wealth and fame, eh?

#2 No, bugs are not vegan (and vegans aren`t stupid, they just have different moral standards than you do). To many vegans, willfully eating insects technically falls under the category of "unnecessary killing."

#3 Oh come on... you may not like that particular factoid, but does that really make Ching Shih stupid?

Thank (God, Allah, Vishnu, FSM, etc) you dozed off, I don`t wanna go through `em all! :-)

@chalket: Thanks for the link! As I already said, the "prostitute" part threw me, and made it sound (to me) like a myth.

However, truth is stranger than fiction in this case!
