I work for social services-many people in need are angry, embarrassed, scared & unsure of their future. I am not meeting them on their best day. For the most part--across all racial & ethnic lines--they are grateful for the help. And, believe it or not, many poor, uneducated people have good manners. These kinds of videos always make me cringe because they are easy fodder for racists/elitists/hate-mongering, small minded, misanthropes.

@ soundman, no not for a disaster, but lose a soccer game and you might just have a riot. besides, Denmark, and the rest of Europe, is having huge problems with Immigrants and refugees. They are all running away from their cultures, then trying to change European culture to what they were running away from.

Not long ago one of my Aunts was reading her formerly-local newspaper online. she`s moved to out of state, but keeps up with what is going on in her old hometown.

In the newspaper she read this article about a `bullying` incident in her old high school. Inquisitive she called a teacher there, who is still one of her best friends.

Turns out it was nearly a race riot. One `special` kid was being bullied, to start with, but another kid defended the victim and then the gymnasium full of PE students went at it B vs. W.

All the teachers were called in to help break it up, by the time police arrived it was broken up. The school covered it up as an incident of bullying, suspended several students and then called in specialist `bullying counselors` to educate the whole student body during a mandatory assembly in the same gym the fight took place in.

The paper only printed what the school officials told them, they didn`t want the school to get a `black eye`.

It`s a great commentary on the state of the country that I was able to predict the race of the participants with a great deal of confidence just based on the title of the post.

PoptartinSD: I`ve wondered about things like that, before, as well.

This is just ridiculous behavior, sprouting from a contemptible `keepin it real` made-up fake culture.

"As a part of accepting government assistance, this should be mandatory."

And would this apply to the banks that took bailout money?

"but they aren`t coated in sugar and butter..."

- We should also pass laws that force fat people to exercise b4 they can get any sort of medical assistance or insurance to stop them from driving up our premiums.

I don`t completely understand the point of this video. Poor people fight, people with jobs fight, smart people fight, dumb people fight and rich people fight.

It`s not like it`s the "RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE" everyday. As times get desperate and more people lose their jobs/ can`t find any, this sort of stuff will happen, ACROSS THE BOARD.

No need to start a class/racial war about it...

I know ima get some hate for this, but back in the 30`s the U.S. was trying to pass a law that would sterilize people taking government assistance. The Nazi`s messed that up doe us too. We have the technology now that allows us to administer temporary birth control for months at a time. As a part of accepting government assistance, this should be mandatory. Not a complete solution, but a start. Also, by the times get to public school, they are already ruined. From 6 months to 2 years there is so much development that if not in the proper environment, the child will have developmental issues for the rest of their lives. The solutions are out the3re for all of our problems, but they aren`t coated in sugar and butter...

@normal

Don`t get me wrong, I agree education is important, but in my experience, behavior is what gets and keeps employment.

Yes, it`s a sad state of affairs; in my city, 9% of black males graduate HS. 9%.. 85-95% of other demographics graduate, so it isn`t the schools. It`s the person.

"safety net to catch them and help out."

The problem is people have been using the safety net as a hammock, up to third and fourth generations now.

@lt633c

And the vicious cycle continues because They don`t have any education. Now you can argue whether or not they WANT one. Intelligent people don`t want to live in squalor. THey find ways out. Get a bunch of uneducated, hungry people together. Well I guess we see what happens.

I`ll take motivation, good attitude and lawful behavior over education every time. Lazy thugs get what they deserve; limitations of being on the dole.

Easier said than done. Once again I respect your opinion but I don`t agree. What a completely stupid idea "just pick up and move." I mean that works when you have a car or money to actually move.

@normalfreak2: Sam Kinison said it best when discussing the starving people living in the African deserts: You live in a desert! This is sand, nothing grows in the funckig sand.

If there are no jobs where you live, move.

Why have you assigned the responsibility of solving their problems to me? They apparently have plenty of energy and are able bodied.

Every last one of them should enter the room with a heart filled with gratitude that there is a safety net to catch them and help out.

Why does someone on foodstamps have a cellphone with a camera?

Do the Obamaphones have cameras?

If so, disregard. If not, then that person doesn`t deserve a cellphone with a plan if they can`t afford food.

Less free money for these folks please. More free vocational training. Screw lame, overpriced "higher" education. They need "hire" education! Skilled labor pays well.

"Imagine what they could do if they put all that effort into educting themselves and working to support themselves."

Education typically costs money, and the free options (public libraries) are getting reduced funding or are being outright shut down left right and centre.

Working does nothing to help support yourself: I could dig a hole in my garden all day, and that`s definitely work, but that won`t help support myself. Getting PAID for working DOES help support yourself. And that needs an employer (or paying customer, which is essentially the same thing), and they are thin on the ground lately, because as you might have noticed: RECESSION.

So, what valid, constructive advice do you have to offer for people facing these challenges?
