Nothing but common sense here. The "gun grabbers" will HATE it.

6:00 "I dare you" = Nice! The grabbers know they have NO support for what they want, so they disguise their plans with rhetoric and lies. Plain and simple.

The best 7 minutes is right.

I need a handgun to defend in my home.

I need a AR-15 to defend against my government.

I think it`s a worthwhile point that long guns kill so few people, and semi-automatic rifles are only a portion of even though.

In fact, I think shotguns, Joe Biden`s fav, kill more than long guns.

The reason is simple, you can`t HIDE long guns. They are so impractical to murder somebody with and they aren`t even more deadly oftentimes, they`re harder to use. .223 rounds are weaker than 9mm at close range. Pistols are the real killer. Unless you`re sharpshooting, a long gun is impractical. And this is obvious in statistics. It`s just symbolic.

The main flaw here is that gazelles don`t generally go around accidentally, or in a fit of anger, goring other gazelles with their horns at a far greater rate than they defend against leopards. If all the gazelle people out there could be trusted to act responsibly, locking up their weapons when not in use and using them against others only in appropriate conditions, it wouldn`t be an issue. In reality, if every gazelle person packed a gun, you`d be walking on eggshells all your life, hoping to hell you didn`t offend someone by your driving or the way you looked at him or by bringing 12 items to the express checkout.
The "defense against your own government" argument is a paranoia peculiar to America among modern nations. It is simply absurd.

So the young college lady would of killed said rapist? I think she might of scared him off, there by not stopping him from doing anything to anyone else in the future. It`s what known as conjecture, or simply guessing.

What`s the matter? You only think the content is worthy if it mocks religion and conservatives? Heaven forbid the site try to appeal to people other than you.

I agree with this. I actually do not understand why someone should have an assault rifle, but handguns are by far the biggest issue.

IDK carmium, the country is becoming increasingly bureaucratic and liberty is under constant erosion. Our leaders are spending our money with little regard for the people who earn it. When a country is under economic collapse is when opportunistic people attempt to seize power. Please consider the critical importance of liberty.

You should if you want to make laws for them and take them away.

@carmium: In the USA guns are used 3X as often for self defence as thay are for any form of crime. Minimum, since there`s countless times the suggestion of a gun frightens criminals away.

The point remains: take the horns off the gazelles and that helps them? How?

@FoolsPrussia: "Assault weapons" are ALREADY restricted. Ok? NO ONE wants to change that. The proposed laws would do NOTHING to further restrict "assault weapons" and ONLY make the legal aquisition of LEGAL firearms by LAW ABIDING citizens more difficult and EXPENSIVE.

    Get it yet? Cheesus!

@EgalM We can argue about how it might have turned out had she not been disarmed. However, there`s no argument about how it turned out doing it your way.

Actually, I do. When the 2nd amendment was adopted the typical citizen-farmer owned a long rifle, while the standard-issue weapon for the army was a musket. The long rifle was far superior to to the musket in accuracy, range, knock-down power, and rate of fire. In an open field a group of citizen-farmers could take out twice their number of soldiers without taking a single casualty themselves.

Besides, what`s the justification for this guy being better armed than me?

I`m finding all this gun-talk to be dreadfully boring. When a website chooses to post bait like this over and over (just so people will argue in the comments) instead of finding interesting content to entertain us with, it says a lot about the people running the site.

Not a single opinion posted in any of these threads has done a thing to change anyone`s mind, or moved us closer to any sort of "resolution". It has been a complete waste of time. And yes, I know I can include my comments in that statement too.

You believe in a ban on guns?
    Good for you!
Tell your mugger that, or the guys stealing your TV, or your rapist. I`m sure they`ll respect your wishes.

I fully support the 2nd amendment. I just don`t understand why we decided it was an opt-out system instead of opt-in.

OldOllie is more than welcome to have all the muskets and long rifles he wants. If anyone wants a more modern weapon, then it needs to be voted on and added as an amendment.

Absurd statement? Absolutely. More absurd than all the arguments coming from BOTH sides in these threads? Not even close...

@pazerlenis, since you seem to be incapable of grasping such complex concepts as analogy and larger principals, let me spell it out for you: I believe the the 2nd amendment guarantees my right to keep and bear arms that are every bit as capable as those kept and born by the military and the police, because the 2nd amendment was adopted so the people can keep them in line.

@OldOllie: You are correct. I am not capable of understanding, as you so eloquently stated, "complex concepts as analogy and larger principals."

You also misspelled anal orgy, but I`m willing to let that slide this one time.

He invoked Godwin`s law - doesn`t that mean the whole gun control issue is now finished, and the pro-gun side loses? ;p
