How do you make hundreds of loaves of bread in a day? Like a boss, that"s how!

err, I mean, we made candy. Covered in chocolate. It`s just when I think about chocolate, I get so excited...

excuse me. I must be alone now.

I used to do that, but with sugar, butter, and cream. We made chocolate. Yeah, I was enthusiastic.

It`s not that I don`t want to watch a baker`s day in FF mode, it`s the music that made me completely ignore the hard work this guy did.

I found it somewhat interesting at first, but then all I could think of was lower back injuries when I saw the bending over to lift heavy things constantly.

I suppose my job would look even less fun than that. I tried picturing myself working with that soundtrack playing and it didn`t really sync up. It would be 5 minutes of something interesting followed by 30-120 minutes of waiting and doing other things like cleaning glassware or entering data into excel.

Wow. I actually watched the whole thing. I cannot imagine having to work that hard, physically, for that long, probably 5 or 6 days a week. If the zombie apocalypse (or equivalent) does come, I won`t survive a week.

it`s an art.. drat the leathery, chemical concoctions that the american and british supermarkets call bread.. THIS is bread made by someone who has a philosophy about bread and who loves the products that he makes, and YES you do taste that.

@patchouly: Well, actually, yes: it`s the last four or five minutes of the video that are most interesting. But then again, not everyone out there has a thing for bread like I do. =^.^=

Holy crap that was boring. I had to shut it off after 2 minutes. Did it get better after that?

Reminds me of when I used to work as a Baker like that...except I didn`t have any of those fancy machines that cut the dough up for you...

Squrlz: It was boring. Worked in packaging. I placed game cards inside boxes of twinkies, for some promotion. Then they fixed the machine that did the same job.

We did get free snacks for lunch though. They even sent us home with a few loaves of bread each week.

I`ve totally resisted using all those bread and dough puns. It would have been too easy and I didn`t Rise to the bait.

I am so impressed that somebody out there gets a kick out of doing that job in the early morning. I like people who do their work with enthusiasm and skill. 8-)

Watched the first minute and the only thing enthusiastic was the music and my clicking to stop it.

@CJ: I was just trying to keep the puns going there (yeast). I`m aware that you`re disabled. What was Hostess like? Tastykake made big news here recently when it went under.

Squrlz: I did actually work for Hostess for a couple of weeks, temp job back in the 90`s.

They are bankrupt and I`m disabled. Not going to happen.

@CrakrJak: You should return to the bakery. At yeast it was a steady job.

I used to work in a bakery.

Then got sick of the dough and went on the loaf.

It`s probably because I don`t get to work with my hands much, but I found it really satisfying to see this guy do his stuff. He`s a pretty savvy guy, who loves his work, with his own website and baker`s CV online. And I cannot tell you how much the end of this video has me hankering for a good baguette.

You know, it looked more like he was busting his arse, probably for sorry wages. I can think of nothing which is more opposite to `like a boss`.

@Smutleybutt: Yeah, I confess! I only watched 1:30... then got bored.
Because I`m not high on pot! lolz!

@Squirlz! You are too funny!
I`ve been told that every single "overnight baked" is stoned out of his tree on pot.
I`ve never encountered one bit of evidence to counter that.

Hey! I`m not saying it`s bad! It`s harmless fun!

Except for the "War On Drugs" which is both stupid and counter-productive...
