The cops have him cornered in a cabin in Big Bear, Ca. He shot two of them and the police have now ordered the news helicopters away from the area.

That last part likely means SWAT is getting ready to storm in and neutralize him.

i dont think you guys are getting the part where i`ve BEEN saying that i don`t agree with his actions.

"...accept it that life is not fair, and you can continue on with your life without killing people."

that`s what ive been trying to say. i dont care how much i care or dont care about this issue the way he is going about it is wrong.

"And there`s people and evidence that says he`s wrong! That still is NO excuse for murder, of any kind. Period."

which is why i ALSO said that IF said officers ARE racist that i would CARE less. not they ARE racists and im GLAD that they got what was coming to them and i HOPE he gets their families.

you know what? just butt fuq it. lets all agree that this man has anger issues or SOME kind of issues. i wont be coming back to this comment section.

collegebound-"if he was never done wrong in the first place then there is no way he could be getting even then is there?"

I realize this may be a stretch for your intellect, but there is a difference between `thinking` someone did you wrong and someone actually doing you wrong.

And even if he was actually `done wrong`, accept it that life is not fair, and you can continue on with your life without killing people.

So infantile people think they`ve been `done wrong` if someone left them only a 18% tip rather than a 20% which they `obviously deserved`.

Just remember the story Nobody told of the little bird, the cow and the coyote.

am i the only one who read the manifesto? there are witnesses and people who have already backed him up.

"Just because he`s `getting even` does not equate to him actually being done wrong."

if he was never done wrong in the first place then there is no way he could be getting even then is there? although this does go beyond getting even. he`s said so himself.

Or he could be doing it because he`s just delusional & Bat$hit crazy.

Just because he`s `getting even` does not equate to him actually being done wrong.

It`s just as likely that he`s `getting even` because he`s pissed that people saw through his attempt to claim `racism`.

He justifies murders, yet was an officer who took an oath to uphold the law. Claims superior tactical knowledge then gives away his own response plan and includes his knowledge base and skill set."

In otherwords, a liberal.

collegebound-"i certainly care a lot less about PoS racist cops"

And yet, you only have the word of a clearly insane individual that they were, in fact, `PoS racist cops.`

Is that where you usually get your information?

collegebound-"i would probably even cheer him on."

Which just demonstrates that you are a sick, ignorant individual.

"My diagnosis would be Manic Depression, possibly PTSD as well."

he says in his manifesto that he suffers from both.

"He wrecked his own name more than any BOR ever did, when he finally realizes his pride was his downfall he`ll crash hard, perhaps even commit suicide. He`s already got the attention he wanted, but he lost in the court of public opinion."

he doesn`t care about his pride and if the cops don`t find him before he finishes up his buisness he WILL kill himself if he hasn`t already. again, its in the manifesto that he doesn`t intend on surviving this. as for losing his name, i believe while he may have lost the original meaning of it he HAS created a new meaning for the name Christopher Doner. no matter how this turns out this man has now become somewhat of a demigod. whether or not we/he wanted/wants that to happen or not.

MeGrendel: i dont think it`s the right way to go about things either. but i certainly care a lot less about PoS racist cops dying than their children who (most likely) have nothing to do with it.

that being said i dont really care at ALL so long as what he is saying is true about said officers and as long as he sticks to THOSE people. he`s doing things the dumb way. i just don`t really care. if he would leave their families alone i would probably even cheer him on.

MeGrendel, I like your comments(and others!), for real! But you are missing the crux. Some of you people lack true depth of character. You can not make this situation into a cut and dry explanation. Your shoe does not fit the foot. This man is not legend in his own mind, this man has been driven to the short hand. His mind, actions and hands are tied(in his view). Can only be stopped with a massive public apology.
But nothing can be undone...he will be legend despite your view...he already is you fools. Some of you people need to read more.

Dorner is right but the retribution is wrong. The cops, lying, screwed with his career but they didn`t put a bullet in his brain, he did that, put a bullet in his own brain by overreacting to a bad situation. He gets his wish, LAPD will reopen the case, then whitewash it again, but he trashed his own name by killing innocents.

MeGrendle, I will clarify two things, I left out qualifiers like perceived and imagined because I was talking about the mans agenda. That would imply that is how he sees them. My comment about the system is broken was referring to the whole system. Not just the Authorities that missed the indicators but also the unstoppable media monster that ensured that his message would get out. Personally I have little feelings for this man. Maybe his first acts were just plain crimes of passion then with no going back, so he chose to commit himself to this course. It does not mater. What I saw when I read the manifesto was someone who had a good idea how to manipulate the system and the system no doubt will respond to this. This will not save him, but it will create a very interesting dynamic.

The differences are just cosmetic. The black one is obviously an `Assault Truck`. The Blue one probably has an afteramarket `Hand-Grip` Stickshift knob, which changed it into an `Assault Truck`, also. The the Nissan probably had a fuel tank capable of holding more than 7 gallons, so will be outlawed in the new `Assault Truck Ban`.

@Auburn, yeah it is. Maths is short for Mathematics. Mathematic is an adjective. Mathematics is a noun for which there is no singular. That`s why it`s weird that Americans shorten it and make it singular.

BULL! He`s only a victim in his mind, just as he is only a hero in his own mind.

r66tramp-" It is a simple agenda to get attention for wrongs of the past"

It would be more accurate in state it for `attention for imagined wrongs of the past`. When you`re raised from a child that you are a `victim` every unpleasantness can be another excuse to be a `victim`.

The waiter was rude? It must be because I`m black.
I got a ticket? It must be because I`m black.
The laundry lost my shirt? It must be because I`m black.
I stubbed my toe on the chair? It must be because I`m black.

If the system is wrong, you work to fix it. You DON`T start killing family members of the system. Anyone that see`s this idiot as a `hero` is an idiot and should be incarcerated for the protection of the rest of society.

Sadly it is all coming across as rather sane. It is a simple agenda to get attention for wrongs of the past. This seems to have been effectively accomplished, no mater how much he is vilified, this can not be undone. The system it would seem is broken to the core.

This guy is ridiculous. His behavior is absolutely inexcusable in every way, shape and form. He never escalated past using the police forces very broken system of putting peers through the wringer. As soon as he was discharged he should have gotten a lawyer and gone to court and made it a giant multi-media circus/showcase. That would have been more effective. Now he`s got those racist jerks still in the LAPD mad and gotten their families mad and gotten the victims families mad... What`s pathetic is the idiots defending him will consider him a martyr when he inevitably gets shot to death by some gun-toting citizen or a cop who empties a clip into him. It`s going t stir up yet another gun control controversy which is necessary... The solution, to me, is simple. LAPD needs an investigation led by multiple external groups and the FBI needs to hunt down this lunatic and kill him. Choking someone over dropping the N-Bomb is not justified... it`s an example of his unstable mind.

This is a very complicated story. On one hand, it should have been a red flag for the LAPD that he physically assaulted one of his fellow recruits for the words that were said. Offensive to a black man, yes obviously. Dealt with by choking the guy, wishing he could shoot the two offensive classmates. And then there`s the complaint filed against his training officer Evens. Out of all the situations they were in together, and all of the claims he could have brought against her, it`s interesting that his allegations matched that of the arrestee who complained about being kicked. Sounds like it happened.
This guy was trouble from the beginning. Yes, it was a "kangaroo court" that got him bounced out of the LAPD, but to then murder innocent people? And shoot at other cops that had nothing to do with the case against him ?
LAPD sounds like it has some serious problems, but this is not the solution. He`s not a hero; he won`t be revered; he`ll just end up a dead murderer.

Obviously a mistake, and heads should roll. I hope the ladies are okay, and I doubt they will have to worry about medical bills.

BUT, there ARE extenuating circumstances:
Nervous cops (and public) looking for similar truck.
Truck appearing near protected individual, not driving like a truck normally drives (delivering papers).
Judging by the tinting, visual ID would have been very difficult.

None of this excuses what happened, but did contribute to the outcome.

carmium-" high morality - reporting a superior officer for brutality"

That`s if it actually occurred. The other option was he went into job with an agenda to begin with, which makes him crap. (based on his actions, I doubt `high-moral fiber` was involved)

carmium-"Just those, and those close to them, who have wronged not him, but the code&oath they swore:"

Or he`s a crazy nut-job that has imagined many slights and `broken honor` because he`s lived his life as a `victim`.

Don`t make a hero out of him. He`s the exact opposite of that. He didn`t go after someone that did the system wrong. He went after the INNOCENT FAMILY of someone he doesn`t like.

r66tramp-"I think he may be Duke Nuke-em in real life?"

If, by that, you mean `a made-up bit of fantasy`, I can see that. If you think he`s anything approaching a hero, you`re an unbelievable idiot.

Here`s how I see it. He may be correct that he was totally screwed over. He may be also be correct that LAPD has serious ethics problems. All utterly irrelevant however. Nothing that is wrong with LAPD should in anyway be looked at or changed because of this lunatic. He is a terrorist, pure and simple. He killed an innocent couple because the woman was merely related to someone he has a beef with. People who are supporting this scumbag are indeed deluded. Stupid too. Very very stupid. Its like supporting al queda because you think the US did bad things in the middle east. So sure, go ahead and kill thousands who had nothing to do with your particular grudge. Same goes for this guy. He has rendered himself totally insignificant and someone of NO value who has absolutely NOTHING to say of any consequence whatsoever . Hope he dies very very soon. Oh, and if it matters to anyone, I consider myself VERY Liberal. A leftie as it were. Even against capital punishment. This is self defense.

I think the guy`s nucking futs! What I don`t get is all the Facebook pages that popped up and are supporting him, calling him a "vigilante." If it`s true that he has concrete proof of police corruption and is trying to expose it, he lost the title of vigilante when he killed 2 innocent people who had no involvement aside from the fact that one was the daughter of the man who represented him at the hearing when he was fired. He also threatened to kill the families of the supposed "crooked cops" who wronged him, he`s not a vigilante, he`s a f*cking murderer.

Although he states: "All the firearms utilized in my activities are registered to me and were legally purchased at gun stores and private party transfers."
Look at what he`s been able to accomplish so far, against armed officers, nonetheless. Everything`s been done with the same poo you have the possibility of aquiring. Good luck "defending" yourself.

He`s not after just anyone. Just those, and those close to them, who have wronged not him, but the code&oath they swore, just as he had, to adhere to. He`s seen the need for change and after exhausting all means, resorted to this. Look at the subject of his letter. This isn`t some fly off the handle/no precursor/no reason-type of event.

@collegebound: Actually, the LAPD is protecting around 20(?) people at the moment who are on that list.
The cops who shot the truck were in fact protecting someone`s house, a "stakeout" eh? When a truck rolled up with no lights on and stopped? OPEN FIRE!!
No Warnings From Police now a 71 year-old is in hospital after being shot in the back!

Then other cops got a "shots fired" report, and when they got near the scene (which was these ladies gettting shot at by LAPD!) they rammed a different truck and opened fire on it too!

Mistaken Identity Oh, the irony!

A strange combination of high morality - reporting a superior officer for brutality, for example - mixed with with something he doesn`t tell us (I can`t imagine that report alone got him fired) and a fanatic, insane logic that says killing innocents is the way to regain his reputation. The book that comes out of this could be interesting reading.

Well, that was weird. He manages to get in "Keep Calm and Chive On" (KCCO) and a shout-out to Bill Cosby. ~scratches head~

gerry, couldn`t agree more. So they guy wrote injustice happened and half the internet is supporting his vigilantism.

Lots of people died because of him, no one died because of what the LAPD did to him.

F him and his lunacy.

That is a WHOLE lotta crazy.... He goes from simply telling his story, to pseudo-intellectual political analysis, to his final goodbyes (which I found to be MOST bizarre). Here are a couple of gems:
- "It’s kind of sad I won’t be around to view and enjoy The Hangover III. What an awesome trilogy."
- "Revoke the citizenship of Fareed Zakaria and deport him."
- "The honorable President George H.W. Bush, they never give you enough credit for your successful Presidency."
- "Ellen Degeneres, continue your excellent contribution to entertaining America..."
- "Tebow, I really wanted to see you take charge of an offense again and the game."
- "John and Ken from KFI, never mute your facts and personal opinions."
- "Anthony Bourdain, you’re a modern renaissance man who epitomizes the saying `too cool for school.`"
- Cyclist, I have no pro

For those who don`t have the time to read the whole thing, let me summarize;
"I am a nut bag and this is the rantings of how I justify killing people I don`t like and people I`ve never met. They made me do it."
