Misinformation at its finest. What constitutes a germ? Something that gets you sick? No, all these "facts" are about any microbe, an outrageously overwhelming number of which are completely benign. Wet hands don`t have more germs, they transfer more germs and that is a big difference. Watching this video is like virtual idiot reality. This is what happens when lay people get their hands on information.

A girl once sneezed in my face after I kissed her in a bar, not long after she had a sip of drink.

Must of been a whole lot of toilet seats hitting my face with that total...

Most bacteria are beneficial. Only a few are bad.

@unmercyfuldu I was thinking the exact same thing through the entire video. They use that generic term "germ" and it scares everyone into being a germaphobe. I`m happy to get sick because I know my immune system has just gotten a little better.

For my day job I work in corporate America. The year I started opening bathroom doors with a paper towel I cut my colds by at least two-thirds. You would not believe how many guys walk out of the bathroom without washing their hands.

As they said in the office, the way to combat this is to have a strong immune system. If the company cared about you, they would not put hand sanitizer out, but buckets of urine and feces.

Your immune system is wussy. Go Howard Hughes style and ensure we see an end to your gene line. Peace.

Wait! I`m supposed to wash my hands every time I touch my junk.

I`ll let go of my junk when you pry it from my cold dead hands!

I grew up on a dairy farm and my first job was shoveling cow manure into a wheel barrow. It`s all been up hill from there.
    (and I never get sick.)

@markust: The reason that likely works is because people who don`t wash their hands after using the bathroom probably don`t wash them anywhere else either, and since the bathroom is a communal room where many people go, there are just more pathogens on fomites there from being brought in. Bathrooms themselves are actually quite free of germs, for the most part; their water is continuously changing.

religiously using hand sanitizer is probably one of the worst things you can do for your health. trying to avoid the small amount of exposure leads to a weak immune system so that when you do come into contact with something it kicks your but. i never get sick because i don`t try shelter myself and let my immune system grow as nature intended. also flu shots are a sham.

also flu shots are a sham.
Well, they aren`t exactly a sham, they`re just unnecessary unless you`re:
    1)Old (50+)
    2)An infant
    3)Have a compromised immune system

Just live your life like a normal person.. I rather have a healthy immune system than live in a bubble. and this "germ can live two days on most surfaces". No, they don`t. Some bacteria can survive but most of the ones we need to worry about only survive on conditions similar to humanbody and out of it it`s measured from minutes to hours at most.

The really dangerous stuff lives in 15C and up, needs moisture and food.

Germs are GOOD FOR YOU!!! If we didn`t have germs you would literally keel over and die. MOST bacteria is good for you and germs are like little Jesus`s everywhere, giving their lives for your immune system to get stronger. Germs are a good thing.
