They are joking and laughing about kidnapping & raping a drunk 16-yr-old in the next room. Whole story in the credits.

6. Never creep into a woman’s home through an unlocked door or window, or spring out at her from between parked cars, or rape her.

7. Remember, people go to the laundry room to do their laundry. Do not attempt to molest someone who is alone in a laundry room.

8. Use the Buddy System! If it is inconvenient for you to stop yourself from raping women, ask a trusted friend to accompany you at all times.

9. Carry a rape whistle. If you find that you are about to rape someone, blow the whistle until someone comes to stop you.

10. Don’t forget: Honesty is the best policy. When asking a woman out on a date, don’t pretend that you are interested in her as a person; tell her straight up that you expect to be raping her later. If you don’t communicate your intentions, the woman may take it as a sign that you do not plan to rape her.

"However smashed we were we remembered to put them in the recovery position, and not to rape them."

That is my favourite quote of the year so far. Reminded me of -

Ten rape prevention tips:

1. Don’t put drugs in women’s drinks.

2. When you see a woman walking by herself, leave her alone.

3. If you pull over to help a woman whose car has broken down, remember not to rape her.

4. If you are in an elevator and a woman gets in, don’t rape her.

5. When you encounter a woman who is asleep, the safest course of action is to not rape her.

I don`t think I`ve ever listened to a more obnoxious person in my life than this douchebag.
The girl should be taught something too. Obviously not a legal punishment but her parents surely need to make sure that what she did was moronic.
Yes, that`s exactly what someone who`s been sexually assaulted needs. Obviously. How could anyone think otherwise?

You seem to be rather desperately short of a clue, so I`ll point out my obvious sarcasm.

Yes, she showed poor judgement. Who didn`t at that age? Poor judgement is to be expected in adolescence and young adulthood.

The appropriate lesson for getting drunk off your head is to have made a fool of yourself and to feel bloody awful the next day. It`s not to get sexually assaulted and then told you need to be taught a lesson because you`ve done something moronic.
I honestly don`t think they should go to jail. Community service would be more than enough to set them straight. There`s a big difference between actually raping someone and fingering a girl that was partying with them so wildly that eventually blacked out.
I disagree. In some ways, it`s worse. Not for the act itself, but for not seeing anything wrong in doing it. That`s the dangerously wrong in the head part. Community service is not the right response for sexual assault by people who are so dangerously incapable of the very basic fundamentals of living in a society. Not by a long chalk.

we learned the Duke LaCross team lied. And they did it.and burned evidence. So yeah,we learned. We learned law enforcement is ineffective and sometimes you need to create justice outside the system.

They are dumber than the guys that recorded themselves talking and laughing about a "dead" girl being pissed on and raped in the next room and then put it on the internet for the whole world to see for the rest of their lives.. oh wait. Idiots.

I would have gone outside and called the cops right there. So angry right now its hard to type. I knew a guy who tried to do this and I made sure not to leave that girl alone til I knew she was safe. What a bunch of cowards. hope this follows them into their adult life.
Whether they raped her or not..she is 16 and they took naked photos of her and violated her while she was unconscious...that is disgusting behavior...I don`t care how old the boys are...they should know better and should be punished.
If the anonymous rumours from anonymous sources are true (and that`s a question none of us can possibly know the answer to), then a secure mental hospital would be more appropriate. If the anonymous rumours from anonymous sources are true, then they`re wrong in the head and need to be kept away from society while being treated. Maybe jailed afterwards, depending on how long it took.

She is a stupid, naive little girl. But that does not mean she deserves to be treated that way. Whether they raped her or not..she is 16 and they took naked photos of her and violated her while she was unconscious...that is disgusting behavior...I don`t care how old the boys are...they should know better and should be punished.

When I was much younger I sometimes found myself at parties where people passed out in a spare bedroom. However smashed we were we remembered to put them in the recovery position, and not to rape them.

It should be basic. There should be severe consequences.

HumanAction
"Well shucks, send `em my way then. I`ll call up some of my buddies and we`ll show them a thing or two about being completely at the mercy of others."
I`m good with that punishment, appropriate to the crime.
But today`s scarlet letter laws are awarded for life and I have a hard time giving any 15 year old a life sentence.

I don`t know whether they did anything to the girl or not, but this video shows a bunch of tools sitting around acting like um, well,...tools.

(kidding of course...)

Anways, they are set for a trial on Feb. 13th and are under house arrest until then. The best that we can do is hope that the court system discovers the truth and issues a verdict (and possibly sentencing) as is appropriate.

Thankfully, "Anonymous" is taking an interest in this case. I hope they also go after the conservatives who were suggesting that the girl should take some of the blame.

Just addressing the video only, I see a stupid young man saying things to make his buddies laugh, which they do.

This is differant from the rape jokes people tell here at IAB how?

As for the kids who admitted fingering her while unconscious, {yes that`s rape} because of the scarlet letter laws, I`d have a hard time convicting them. If I were on the jury I`d want to say "guilty" but the penalty is so over the top harsh that I probably wouldn`t.

@Gerry

From what I read, two of the boys issued police statements admitting to taking pictures of her breasts and fingering her. They were given community service and counseling with the offer that their records would be expunged. She was given a gag order...

On the video, I don`t see anyone confessing to a rape. Bad jokes, yes, and they say "she was raped" and laugh, but no one says "I put it in her". So, maybe it`s accessory after the fact if they knew about it.

The photo that started it doesn`t show a rape.
Bad situation, but is it a "rape"?
