    That was great.

Almost as good as the youtube comments for this video. There are people who simply didn`t get it, and others who did who found it offensive to the severity of the situation, plus the standard eurolibs bitchin about how he`s clearly a war-mongering murderer.

If he weren a little princess he wouldn`t be flying an apache. Is he the one with the highest rank possible? I`m sure he earned that like his father did for all those medals....

@mcgovern he`s trained exactly the same as every other army officer. He was told he would be put out of harms way, and he explicitly told the army generals that he WAS going to helmand with the other officers.

Harry is probably the most down to earth royal out of the entire lot of the overpriviledged family.

Becoming a high value target and endangering everyone around him. Why can`t brits open their eyes to this joke and get off his ginger balls? He`s an apache pilot because he told grandmummy he wanted to be one just like how his father got his medals and how he got his rank and you say they hold no power LOL!!

At last, something McGovern and I can agree upon: he`s a waste of skin, that boy. Waving his face about talking about how hard it was killing A-rabs from 3000 feet. It`s bad enough that anybody`s out there terrorising Afghans, but the fact he took up a place that could have been used by someone with actual talent just so he`d be safe from getting shot at doing the job he was more suited to on the ground only underlines what a self-deluding, arrogant, presumptous, spoilt tosser he is.

@ McGovern, You`ve no idea, sure he probably started at Sandhurst but so do something like 80% of officer`s. Many of which come straight from Uni, a few straight from their A-levels. Any titles not earnt genuinely will be honorary ( I believe certain European kings have honorary Admiral titles, Carl Gustaf of Sweden for example)

As for Harry, good for him, he is doing something he believes in and as for `endangering everyone around him`, if the army and Harry are doing their jobs where and what he is doing should never really be apparent to the enemy, sure we know where he is posted but its not like they`ll stroll in and take him, provided his co-sign is discrete his movements on operations are unknown and would cause no more danger than other high ranking officials being out on ops

And let me get something straight, I may not agree with our presence in Afghanistan or other places we have deemed worthy of our suffocating presence but the only reason you say this poo about him is because you got to see his youthful indiscretions splattered all over a newspaper that should have been reporting real news, you wouldnt say this poo to any other officer so why would you to him?

Oh yeh right, he is a privileged kid who got it handed to him, dont you think maybe he earnt it? I know I couldnt just fly an apache even if I was just given the right to do so, it takes training, rigorous training which he has done

    FUNNY! Loved it.

As for "privileged", for every privelage he got growin gup there were a dozen things he could not do. He can`t have just any career he wants, he can just go down to pub for drink, etc.

Mind you, I would trade in a heartbeat. Easy access to McDonalds is highly over rated.

Okay, I confess I`m not much for the gossip rags, and tabloids are usually something I spread around the floor whenever I paint, but Harry`s paternity is actually a thing? If that be the case, he should thank whatever benign divine power decided to smile upon him. I mean have you seen the other one?! ;-)

"He doesn`t look a thing like Prince Charles, his official father. I wonder why." Actually he looks exactly like him except for his colouring. It always amazes me that people focus on the superficial when they judge resemblance - i. e haircolur, eye colour , etc. Put Charles and Harry pics beside and ignore the colouring - you`ll see that they look almost identical.

No. Yes, he got training to fly it I would damn well hope so but if you think he got to that position like the other pilots did well LOL! I guess that would be why you still have a royal family an inability to see the obvious.

Nope I can just see what a joke it is. A place that considers themselves to be so intelligent through socializing things supporting a family that has had everything handed to them by the people. Along with a long history of wars and genocide with others for money and power for themselves. Yet you support them and the dated ussless system blindly without question.

McGovern1981 - you know the royal family paid for the wedding, right?
The government only paid for security along the travel route.
As for "supporting them" it`s been shown many times that they bring in a great deal more money than they cost.

But you know all this, you`re just trolling right? I mean, you couldn`t possibly be stupid enough to believe that stuff.

Which is why the people pay a tax for them? LOL!! Landmarks bring in money royals take it. They didn`t get their massive fortune being a charity to the plebs.

    @ McGovern - What a maroon.

The Royals get 40 mil pounds a year salary.
Her Majesty gives the government 200 million pounds from property incomes. She donates this every year "to the plebs" as you put it. So to give up the monarchy would cost the UK 160 million pounds per year.

Besides monetarily, there are many positive aspects to the Monarchy and many benefits. The fact you don`t get it doesn`t invalidate the idea of a constitutional monarchy, it just means you don`t get it.

That leaves out how they got the property in the first place. Now if they were so giving how exactly are they still so rich? There`s nothing constitutional about a monarchy.

That would also not explain why the queen gave herself a raise recently. If they give so much wouldn`t giving yourslef a raise be counterproductive if you were to just give it back?

Parliment can give the Queen a raise, she cannot give herself one.

"There`s nothing constitutional about a monarchy."
Stop assuming the "USA" viewpoint is the only viewpoint world wide. There are many types of constitutions, including constitutional monarchies. If the USA style of government is so great, then why is it with all the countries we`ve overthrown and all the new governments we`ve set up, the US has never set up a government like it`s own? Always a parliamentary or monarchy system. Never a republic with a congress & senate. Japan, Germany, Iraq, Afghanistan... none of them are like our system.

We did overthrow a Republic. Iran. They had a constitutionally elected Republic but they were too friendly with Russia so we overthrew the government and installed a KING on a throne. The Shaw of Iran. It took the people 25 years to get their country back. Is it any wonder they hate the US?

I don`t think we should be a monarchy, but I feel strongly about it.

Queen Elizabeth II has been probably our best monarch in real terms. Gracious, hard-working, never beheaded a spouse or burned a cleric, just put in the time and did the job she didn`t ask for.

The next generation was a shambles. I quite liked Anne, but she had the sense to step away from the whole thing and focus on horses. The rest was a disaster.

In principle I would prefer a republic, but in practice it`s not an issue. We`ll still be a monarhy in 50 years but that still won`t matter.

Lord Jim, I know a lot of people say the next generation is a shambles, but really, what is this huge failing of Charles`? His 1st marriage didn`t work. That`s it. Yes, very publicly and emberassing, but how many people do you know who have a failed marriage?

Other than that he has been hard working, supports his tree-hugger causes and so on. Andrew...same thing. Anne.... same thing. Except for their marriages, they have worked hard and plodded on as best they could with very few other scandals.
