Link: Jackie Chan: U.S.A. Most Corrupt Country In World - Should he have accepted the `corrupt` American money he made from his movies, if it bothered him?

And what kind of provocative link description is that? The racist crowd looking to hate someone who isn`t a straight white male for any or no reason will show up and sound off all by themselves. No goading needed.

Our country is becoming more corrupt. But more corrupt than communist China? No, I don`t believe that`s correct at all.

Did he say something wrong? Did he say something we didn`t already know? Why is this a story? His point was probably lost in the translation anyway.

China has been a hugely powerful empire for millennia. They lagged behind during the start of the industrial revolution. They are catching back up. All people are corrupt... whatever.

Troll posting if I`ve ever seen one.

So because Jackie Chan says that the U.S. is corrupt (we are... it is what it is) he`s supposed to give back money he legitimately made as an actor?

Kitteh... Fancy is a bad influence on you. Your postings are usually not from the troglodyte file.

He needs to be more specific about what he means by corruption. Obviously he`s not talking about citizens walking by a child hit by a truck, left dying in the street, Or college students being massacred by tanks for peacefully protesting, The crimes, sexual abuse and murder committed by officials and their children that get overlooked, and let`s not forget the occupation of Tibet. Of course China is working to improve itself, so I guess we can overlook these things.

I`m not saying America is innocent, but seriously that`s the pot calling the kettle black.

The US caused the economic collapse, and China is working towards self improvement? The Chinese answer to any problem has been and still is "eh, let`s just throw people at it until the problem is fixed." Chinese industrialization just amounts to using low paid, low skilled labor.

Also, where did the money for the inflated investments that pays for the corruption in the US come from. China

It seems like the difference is China know it`s corrupt whereas the US thinks everyone else is.

I agree with him. Does that mean I should quit my job here in the US?

No you angry little people. It simply means I am exercising my RIGHT to speak freely. This is not an American only right, this is the right of every man and woman on this planet.

Our government is corrupt. China`s government is corrupt.

They are in the midst of fighting their corruption.

We are in the midst of trying to deny and hide our corruption.

Given that he`s been making movies for longer the time frame he referenced of 30 years (first film was 1961), the point about American money is mute. As I recall most of his North American films were done in Canada as well (not counting Rush Hour), so that also makes it pointless. Just my thoughts, no need to get uppity.

Say what you like about him, but unlike most of the Americans that believe their country is so great and above reproach, at least he`s tried living elsewhere and in the US and is therefore in a position to have formed an objective opinion.

Yet his main residence is in the US so that would mean it`s not as bad as you`d like to think from his objective opinion.

Mr Peabody. He said that China is also corrupt. He said that the leaders of China even admitted to being corrupt. His point is that corruption is "normal." He used the US as an example because the US is supposed to be the epitome of success and yet here we are - filled wit corruption.

I think Jackie needs to clarify his statement. Is it the people or is the politicians? People can have good intentions and yet push for bad policies, that doesn`t make them corrupt.

You can dig up any statistic and they all say that US is not corrupt country.. And yet we all know that it is.. Why it doesn`t show in statistics? It`s called lobbyism, it`s perfectly legalized form of corruption. What is usually considered corruption occurs on lower level of government, civil servants, cops etc, worker-class that takes bribes. What is usually not considered corruption is high-level, top 1% system that makes stealing billions legal and stealing 100 dollars punishable. Buying politicians are not even hidden anymore, thus it has become acceptable, business-as-usual... All i have to say: you really are an idiocracy.
