Journalists/Politicians refuse "GUN FREE" sign. Ban guns but don"t let them know I don"t have a gun I might get robbed!

I`ve just been converted to gun ownership, I would gladly shoot these people if they turned up at my door. Once they had all been killed off to accelerate evolution I would then also be happy to get rid of it and put the sign up.

If you think being against everyone carrying guns and advertising that you don`t own one are contradictory, you`re a fool. Please cease to exist in an exothermic reaction.

"The police will protect us"

Yeah ... the police will arrive in 12-15 minutes. My HydraShocks will arrive in 1,120 feet per second.

@MeGrendel

If you can`t be bothered to at least try and understand a persons point then don`t expect them to care about what you have to say. I mean seriously, I`ve said several times that this is the wrong way to make a point after someone has wronged you. Do I think the people posting their names online were right in doing so? Nope, but that doesn`t mean they should go harassing people. This looks like a revenge tactic to me, and it is in horrible taste to boot.

Your sub average ability to read entire postes, or understand them has been noted. Now I`m off to watch videos of fennec foxes being adorable. GOOD DAY TO YOU SIR!

Love it. The lefties can`t stand it when their own tactics are used against them! Illustrating absurdity with absurdity just throws you`all into a tizzy don`t it? Love those Project Veritas guys, keep up the good work.

CreamK-"WHO THE HELL NEEDS THREE HANDGUNS FOR THEIR OWN PROTECTION?"

Let`s see, I own many different size screwdrivers for when I`m working on something. I own many different size chisels for when I`m turning something on the lathe. I own many different size sockets and wrenches for working on my vehicles (which I also own different sizes of). I own many different sizes of pots, pans, bowls, knives and spoons for when I cook.

So, being a firm believer in `the right tool for the right job`, should I not own a variety of handguns? I mean, a Ruger Mark III is perfect for plinking targets, while the .45 ACP P90 is much better for home, and the PPK variant I have is much more comfortable to conceal (just to name a few).

Kain1-"retarded crap like this "

Why do you consider this `retarded crap`? It clearly demonstrates the hypocrisy of the anti-gun media. (oh, THAT`S why).

freeze43-NEED TO NAME AND SHAME GUN CONTROL ADVOCATES "

Which is exactly what the Journal was attempting to do with their asanine map of gun owners. So you only want YOUR side to be able to use those tactics.

Gauddith-"Too bad this is harassment"

And yet you probably consider publishing gun owners address on a map online as `free speech`.

"They don`t want to publicize it more than it already is."

How quaint. They have no problem publicizing other peoples addresses, but are upset that theirs was published.

And if these idiots REALLY had their convictions, they would make sure their guards were armed with nothing more than a club. After all, `guns is the problem`.

@5Cats: I dont usually care what people decide I am, I let people label me however they need to, I have my own convictions and morals I don`t intend for everyone I meet to agree with me. Either way, I appreciate the welcome.

Yup lesson learned with that 1000 limit. Had a laugh with it.

The funniest part was that liberal idiot at the end thinking he has a whore`s chance in church when the revolution starts.

He shouldn`t worry about being shot. He doesn`t deserve the dignity of being shot. He`ll be hanged.

creamk, play any sports? own more than one piece of equipment for it? different variation of the same perhaps? yes? explain why. then you´ll understand why i as a legal european gun owner and sport shooter own more than one gun.
if not, go sit in the corner for a while, use the time to rethink your thought process and outlook on the world.

1. i own guns. plural.
2. i think all able minded non-felons should be able to defend themselves.
3. i do not own an sks, ar-15, or ak-47.
4. i do not have a class d dealers license to own automatic weapons.
all this proves is that i am only armed as much as the law allows. WHICH IS AS IT SHOULD BE.I have a concealed carry permit. i rarely exorcise it unless i`m forced to.
My .380 is fine for personal defense when jogging/biking. I carry my .45 when i have to do a server install in the middle of the ghetto. at no point in my life have i needed to carry a .50 cal desert eagle for "personal defense". do I WANT to own a fully auto uzi? oh god yes. do i think i should, or any average american household? oh god no.but don`t post my address on the news. that`s a sign saying "come steal my guns" to the criminals.
"free gun here" sign when no cars in the driveway means easy pickings to an unregistered gun. yes mine are locked, but a 3 di

@VikingGuy: The journalists involved DID print (or post, I forget which) the addresses of LEGAL gun owners in that area. Well, the newspaper they all work for did.
Yet they, themselves, refused to admit they were "gun free"? Smacks of hypocricy! They "outed" others, but refuse to "out" themselves, eh?
Here`s some fallout from that

@Gauddith: It was an awesome place, until Obama drove it to bankrupsy...
I`m 100% pure, Canadian "beefcake" I assure you.
Don`t trust the "1000 chars" counter, it`s broken. It`s "an IAB thang" that isn`t going to be fixed... ever!

But welcome to IAB! You`re more articulate than most "lefties" around here... sorry to "label" you, hope I`m mistaken!

You know what 5Cats, your right, I do live in an awesome country, so why don`t you move here and deal with the same poo? Unless you`re lying about where you`re from. You seem awfully concerned about OUR constitution for someone who isn`t from this country.

Seriously though, where the hell did you get that I`m against freedom of speech anywhere in my posts? You`re free to make an ass out of yourself all you like, but it sure as hell wont help your cause at all. Why not go about it in an intelligent way that doesn`t make people cringe with distaste.

The problem I have with most of the VOCAL gun owners is that they have a damn consistant habit of making me frustrated. They get all in your poo because you disagree and all I can do is laugh to myself thinking something along the lines of, `so what, I`m supposed to feel good that you own a gun?` No, I don`t because people like that seem to be ready to fly off the handle at any moment.

Either they need to get over

it`s stupid on both sides, there was some lady posting peoples addresses because they owned a gun, and this in turn is fairly dumb and petty. it reminds me of a kindergarten level squabble instead of a proper debate on a matter. all both sides actions do is show that some people simply involve themselves in a debate to fire off their mouth without having a clue what it`s even about.

@carmium: TV, movies and the internet aren`t in the US Constitution either, but the 1st Amendment still applies, eh?

@Gauddith: You don`t think owning one is required? You`re FREE to NOT own one! What a nice country you live in!
Oh, you don`t want your neighbors to own one either?
You also don`t want people who disagree with you to be able to speak?
Not nice at all...

@5Cats
Sorry, what? I think owning a needlessly overpowered gun is stupid and now I`m against gun ownership? You don`t need a rifle to defend yourself from a psychopath, You need a brain. And this isn`t freedom of speech, like I said, it`s harassment. It`s also misleading. They lied about their cause so they could harras these people without being arrested.

How do I put this, someone tells the world you`re gay, you don`t go around asking them to put a sign in their yard saying they are straight. If you did that you`d make yourself out to be an ass, and only hurt your own cause.

I find this second amendment crap hilarious. The constitution says because a militia is a good idea, people should have the right to own guns. Right: a muzzle-loading 2-shot-a-minute flintlock to take to militia drills or fight off invading, oh, I dunno, Canadians or something. And people figure that restrictions on packing concealed 9mm automatics and shooting off submachine guns in the back yard is an assault on liberty. What next? Making shooting people you don`t like illegal is an attack on freedom of expression?

@Gauddith: You missed the part where these "journalists" published the names & addresses of LEGAL gun owners.
Sure it`s "not illegal" to publish that, but then again it`s not very ethical.
It IS PERFECTLY legal to knock on someone`s door and ask if they`d like a sign put on their lawn. That`s why the cops didn`t arrest them, eh?
So you`re essentially against the 1st and 2nd Amendments? Nice to know...

@Shelworth: Exactly!

Too bad this is harassment, and people who do these kinds of things really make an ass out of every `law abiding citizen`. It`s hard to believe there are sensible gun owners out there when they go around thinking something like this is an appropriate way to make a point, at that point they come off as bitter. God forbid they "take away" your useless rifle. Just get a revolver and suck it up. Jeesh.

Don`t waste your time. This is just another James O`Keefe spin on reality. There is no Citizens Against Senseless Violence. I should have looked first before commenting. The "Citizens Against Senseless Violence" in the opening did not seam real.

There really is not a scummier deceptive form of journalism as is the piece of sh*t that is James O`Keefe. Conservatives sure eat his deceptively edited videos up though. There is a name for what he does. I can`t think of it right now. What he does is push the answer he wants to get into the questions. It takes a lot of people before he can find people stupid enough to go along with his idiocy. Then he edits out parts where he is pushing, and edits in things that steer you towards a different mind frame like he did in the beginning of this video. He is scum.

Ridiculous, would those in favour of a "free for all" gun ownership/use policy be happy to list the contents of their home and hang it on their gate post?

As has been said, very few people are asking for a "gun free" US...you`re too far gone to try and achieve that.

Gun control=people control.

"Before a standing army can rule the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretence, raised in the United States." -Noah Webster, 1787

The `take all the guns away from citizens` crowd is just as nuts and extreme as the `look at all the other contributing factors to gun violence just don`t look at guns` crowd. Remove the extremes from both sides of the picture and congress would probably come up with a pretty decent solution or at least have a good start.

See, the lunacy here is that only a very few are asking for a gun ban. The president isn`t asking for one, no senator or congressman is asking for one (that I know of), and there`s not going to be one. What most all gun control advocates (as their name implies) are asking for is some very reasonable controls that many gun owners actually agree to.

Just because the NRA used to be interested in protecting the rights of gun owners and is now interested in protecting gun manufacturers and their profits doesn`t mean you have to follow them. Most people on both sides of the issue are reasonable but stuff like this paints everyone out to be radical idiots. It does no one any good.

Maybe because there is a lot of people with legal guns who would see it as a target? Not just general criminals, but people who don`t like them or even just right wing nuts trying to make a point.

I could see quite a few IAB members who would want to rob them at gun point to prove why guns are needed to be safe.

Their logic is: "If a man buys a gun at walmart, then uses it to shoot a bigger and stronger guy who slepted with someone he wanted... then the only way for the bigger and stronger guy to be safe is to carry round a gun and shoot the other guy first, channeling the power of Clint Eastwood."

Then they put out a house fire with a flamethrower or something...
