Personally, the thought that somekind of god made the big band "bang" exactly the way it did, creating a sequence of events that leads us to this time and space, with this exact history. What i`m saying is, god could`ve made it bang and then just watch back and see how it all happens like he wanted to, that could fill me with awe. Making the universe like it is now piece by piece like a lego-fortress is not at all that impressive.

Is it such a hard thing to admit that the scriptures aren`t 100% historical representation of the events that made us but the teachings and the basis of the faith remains the same? It never was about "what really actually happened" but what can we learn from that fictitious (or semi- fictitious )example.

Republicans can`t trust science because Al Gore told them about Climate Change. The whacked out right hate to think they are the party of stupid but when they open their mouth it`s evident. I present Cajun as proof.

Really? You`re clumping a scientist (the latter) with some political hack?

Holy crap are those bottles from 1850 or something? I don`t even know if I`ve ever seen a bottle with calligraphy on it before.

@AvatarJon: You have no idea what science is.

"Not sure where this notion came from that religious people have a problem with science. The problem is with near-religious adherence to pseudo-science that worships false deities such as Al Gore and Charles Darwin ... Science IS cool! I wish that one day schools would choose to start teaching it rather than the left-wing political nonsense that they teach in science classes today."

Um, evolution is legit science; proven and uncontroversial by all proper scientists. Teaching that it`s `just a theory` but it can`t be true because the Bible proves it isn`t and calling a shack on top of mountain Noah`s Ark - now that is Pseudoscience.

Not sure where this notion came from that religious people have a problem with science. The problem is with near-religious adherence to pseudo-science that worships false deities such as Al Gore and Charles Darwin and refuses to ask questions of modern unscientific dogma and provably wrong theories such as Manmade Global Warming. When I hear phrases such as "scientific consensus" and "virtually all scientists agree", I know I`m about to hear about some truly anti-scientific claptrap that pushes a semi-religious political agenda rather than real science.

Science IS cool! I wish that one day schools would choose to start teaching it rather than the left-wing political nonsense that they teach in science classes today.

"That means you, Christians."

1. Obviously not being a Christian doesn`t make a difference if you are impressed by a chemical reaction.

2. God is the greatest scientist there ever will be. He created everything we know as science, including the laws of physics.

3. Here is a whole list of Christians that have and still contribute to scientific knowledge:
List of Christian thinkers in science

America - we need to push our children into science. That means you, Christians. Just be ok with Science only investigating HOW - Science cannot answer WHY.

Let`s get past this. Those heathen Chinese children are studying science today unencumbered by notions of God. WE can keep God and STILL STUDY SCIENCE.

Please. For the sake of our nation. Tell kids SCIENCE IS COOL, and show them this stuff to entice them.
