Cool! Respect to the dude.

In other news:
My friends, come to Greece to go to the beach and spend your tourist money. We have no sharks! We do have real dolphins, big sea turtles, and other cool safe sea-life stuff for you to check out :-)

We await you this summer, start saving now!

Is no one going to comment on how annoying the little kid screaming at his dog was? I just felt like screaming, "Pick the damn dog up, if you`re just going to yell at him!"

@jacos... Oh Yeah You`re right! I was only 6 lbs when I was born... and for a WHOLE fraction of my life I think I was only like 3 feet tall!! Maybe I`m not human??

@jacos27 - great white sharks are smaller than that when first born live. Admittedly this is a young fish, but its clearly a lamnid. Which is just as well for the rescuer - pulling a carcharinid, like a bull shark, by the tail is likely to demonstrate their greater flexibility, and result in a bite. lamnids are stiffer in body form, more muscle, built for short bursts of speed.

There aren`t that many lamnids, great white is the most likely inshore, and fin shape and colour all match.

Aw man. If you`re going to try and be a bogan Aussie at least do it right. It`s OI! not Oy. We take great offence to that.

"That poor shark, it had to go find another beach on which to commit suicide. That was clearly what it wanted since it kept trying to swim back to shore. I guess it finally gave up after the guy kept putting it back in the water."

What he said.

Good on the guy. I would imagine in that situation the shark was pretty harmless. I would of done the same for the shark.

Sharks don`t last long if they don`t have water flowing over their gills. Poor thing was so weak didn`t look like it was strong enough to get past the tide. :-(

Great white sharks are a LOT more massive than that. Including their pups. Don`t think it was a great white.

Hope it`s not a re-post, I suggested it quite a while back iirc...

From the looks of the shark`s mouth, they might have caught him while fishing, but at least they make the effort to let him go.
