A Second US Civil War, What If? [Pic+]

Submitted by: DuckBoy87 4 years ago in Misc

What if every U.S. state declared war on each other? Who would win? An active Marine plays out the scenario.

PaperDuck, if your aunt had balls I would totally date her.

Especially if they were shiny and clanked when she walked.

There are just way too many black people down here for us to return to a "confederacy" mindset.

It would be no fun without the complete deployment of the entire nuclear stockpile.

At the first sign of war, I`d go long twenty contracts of marshmallows.

The war would arbitrarily be lost by whichever side got stuck with Florida.

@MacGuffin No I`m attributing an opinion from you I`ve gathered from multiple ramblings done by you.

You are the one that tarnished this solider as killing civilians with no other evidence then he is a US soldier. You remind me of this girl I know Yara, very patronising and means well but a bit of an idiot. There was the time she was lambasting the entire police force (despite never experiencing any racism herself) until someone stepped up stating his father isn`t racist or part of any of the stigma. Then again talking about soldiers killing babies and civilians until my friend who`d just come back from a tour kindly explained what he`d been doing and how he hadn`t been involved in any crap like that.

You even have taken offence yourself for being tarred with same brush as the British government with IRA and Mau Mau. Same thing you do to others. As long as you presume every soldier is killing Afghans as a day job people will call you up on it. Live with it or think be
Hey MacGuffin- why don`t you stick to starving Irish political prisoners and castrating Mau-Mau`s, and STF up?
Oh look, yet another American that can`t differentiate between the actions of a country and the beliefs espoused by someone that just happens to live there.

I was eight years old when the hunger strikes took place, and the Mau Mau rebellion happened thirty years before I was even born, dickhead. I took part in and am responsible for neither. And unlike you, I`m not so wrapped up in jingoism and misplaced patriotism that I`m incapable of criticising my country`s actions in both. Have a look at the links I`ve submitted to IAB, and you`ll see there`s one in there where I criticise the actions of the British government in torturing civilians during the Mau Mau uprising.

If only more Americans were as willing as me to criticise their own government and country`s misdeeds you`d sound less like the bunch of pathetic hypocrites you do.
@MacGuffin Do you really believe every solider has or want`s to kill civilians?
Yes, that`s exactly what I said. Word for word. You didn`t miss anything out, misinterpret my words, or miss the fact that I am a former soldier myself. Well done on getting All Of The Above exactly right, and not making up your own views then attributing them to me just so you can be `outraged` about them.

I do however think you`re on the right tracks with your thoughts of the military OldOllie, but which is going to be greater for someone in the military? Their loyalty to the oath for country, or their loyalty to friends and family who may be from a state they are asked to fight against? Which is what happens during a lot of civil conflicts....a lot of the professional military decide to hoof it to side with family members who are on the wrong side of the divide.

"They will be supported by the overwhelming majority of gun owners who are also Republicans"

Of which only a small percentage have any military or tactical training and even though they like to think a day paintballing and playing CoD makes them Rambo personified, the reality is most gun owners couldn`t hit a barn door if they were holding the handle.....just because you own something doesn`t make you useful with it. I own a set of golf clubs and have for years, even with practice I`m still poo.

With what Army? Please, you old con. Consider the fact that we`d have NATO and U.N forces kicking your narrow-minded asses as well.
Most of the military and police will side with the Red states because they are overwhelming Republicans who will honor their oaths go support and defend the constitution, not the statist thug who happens to be living in the White House. They will be supported by the overwhelming majority of gun owners who are also Republicans. Non-American NATO "allies" and the UN will be among the diaper$#!++ers.

@MacGuffin, he wasn`t the one who came up with the question - he just answered it. I don`t know why it`s so hard for you to comprehend that.

You guys should totally do this. You would soon find out that all those immigrants who love taking your handouts are suddenly not so keen to be American citizens after all.

It doesn`t matter how divided we are, most Californians would rather die than see any southern state take over.
We would set aside our differences for some time.

It does make me wonder what the Second American Revolution will be like.
A velvet revolution like Russia, or secession? Or armed conflict?
I dunno, but it`ll be interesting for Europe to watch. lol

Don`t give up your day job of killing Afghans in the hope of being able to make a living out of this sedition porn about Americans killing one another, marine. Because you`re not that good at it. Small tip: the last civil war wasn`t each individual State vs each of the others simultaneously. And if it happens again it`s not likely to be split that way either. It`ll probably be more like Red States vs Blue ones, with the winner getting to invade Florida.

Not that I would personally condone it, but I`m pretty sure AZ would side with Texas from the get-go.

Utter tripe. It`s like a crappy outline of a dystopian fiction book. In fact, I wouldn`t be surprised if this guy secretly nurses that hope.

Well thought out... but poor plausibility as its written by someone who`s not familiar with all population segments he`s referring to.

More similar to what a pnp rpg gamemaster would come up with than a realistic scenario.

Fail from the first State: California.
No way CA could win a war solo. We are WAY too divided. CA would divide again and SoCal would go to Mexico and NorCal Independant...Central would declare war on NorCal and there you are....the MexiCali`s move in while we`re fighting and take the freakin lot.
