An oxymoron, I know.

Still sounds better than any rendition Steven Tyler has ever done. Also she is a performance artist. Perhaps that was just her rendition of his rendition.

I liked the Laurie Anderson stuff but that to me still stayed within the stylized structure of contemporary music. The Ono piece was the equivalent of bird song for humans.

Like onion powder, garlic salt, and raisinets on your popcorn: It`s so bad it`s good.

I hope that all the comments are telling the poster the definition of "oxymoron".

Now why did that guy shoot John when he could`ve shot her and been the worlds hero.

She`s so edgy and raw. Like an obnoxious angst ridden teenager. Who are equally entertaining and thought provoking. She brings so much warmth and hope to all who follow her illustrious career.

She`s not singing the star spangled banner. She`s just yelling with no music. It was part of an art installation at MoMA. The music is an over dub.

Major troll move.

She was a good artist, not a good singer. And she was not a gold digger...you a$$ clown. She was an established artist before she met John. She didn`t even know who he was at first. If she was really a gold digger don`t you think she would be selling out John`s music. She is very protective of him music and has not remarried or dated since his death. I don;t care for her singing, but to talk poo about her just because everyone else does...I find that stupid.

Could`ve left out "The Star Spangled Banner" and just listed this as "Yoko Ono Sings Horribly".

As Judy Tenuta said, if that guy had aimed a little to the right, he`d be a hero.

I`ve always questioned why we chose "The Star Spangled Banner" as our anthem, I gotta admit it really is melodically awkward, not to mention that it has a ton of other verses that we never get around to because it`s so long.

"America the Beautiful" is much more sonically pleasing, and more poetic too.

@MuayThai that`s good news. She needs to get that taken down quick.

This actually was a performance art piece of just her singing. The national anthem was just added over top later. The best part is this guy using it as an example why the Satan was in The Beatles.

... but let`s go for the really good stuff:

Schwitter`s poem "To Anna Flower"
(all-time favorite of mine ... )

and if you`re hardcore, you can watch Schwitter`s "Primeval Sonata" (Ursonate)

The oxymoron is between "Yoko Ono" and "singing", not "Yoko Ono singing" and "horribly". The former is correctly described as oxymoronic, the latter is just redundant.

if you said she was going to sing it well that might be an oxymoron, but don`t worry fancy our expectations of you are incredibly low.

I`m not offended as an American,I`m offended as a human being. It boggles the mind how Yoko Ono can still be the same waste of space as she did 50 years ago.

A Japanese woman married to a British man tries to sing the American national anthem. Why am I not surprised?

I`m no great fan of avant garde music at the best of times, but this.is.just.poo.
Laurie Anderson`s `Big Science` is splendid, though.

No...it`s not an Oxymoron...you moron. An oxymoron is when you use two words together that are opposites. Like Jumbo Shrimp or Military Intelligence or even Genius Fancylad.
