I`ve seen places like this, but over a huge lot of land and not just a little house in the suburbs.

Destroying the earth, one unnecessary lightbulb watt after another.

The high-pitched whining noise you hear when you visit is the electric meter going round.

This home is actually in my neighbourhood in Toronto. For what its worth, they do accept donations-all which go to the Sick Kids hospital downtown. Its quite the spectacle, always traffic going through to take pictures.

The hardest part of being a designer is learning when and how to edit.

They`re not over-achieving, they`re over-compensating.

The type of cnut that wears comedy homer simpson ties to the company Christmas party and describes themself as `a bit wacky`.

That`s just obscene if you ask me. Also, depending on where you live if you put up that much sh*t and your neighbors complain the city/town can come tell you to take it down and/or fine you for it. There`s some stuff about that in the NEC code book in the sections dealing with exterior lighting/illumination.

For example, if you have a neighbor with an outdoor floodlight that`s triggered by a motion sensor, like one of my neighbors who is a paranoid older woman, if the light is angled so it spills over onto someone else`s property you can tell them to move it. When she had it installed a few years ago the damn thing would shine right through the blinds & curtains in our bedroom and near the head of the bed, right in our faces. I told her to have it fixed the next day, she said no so I called the city & they sent out a code/ordinance enforcement officer who made her do it.
