There`s a guy with a chip on his shoulder...but I like his thinking - he`s right about the puns.

"Merry Crispmas"? Really? Let`s forget the fact that it`s taking Christ out of Christmas for a moment and focus on the fact that IT`S NOT AMERICAN TO CALL POTATO CHIPS "CRISPS"!!1!!1! WAR ON CHRISTMASS!

Okay, this example of poor ad concepts is an excuse to get something off my chest that has bugged me every time I see it. >ahem<
Tim Hortons has a new grilled sammich promotion and the slogan on every store window is "The Grill will get you Thrilled!" WHAT???
    1) No one has ever said "You`ll get thrilled!" or "I got thrilled!" about anything. "You`ll be thrilled!" is what we say in English.
    2) Grill and Thrilled do not rhyme.
    3) Any idiot could come up with "Feel the Thrill of the Grill" or something better.
    4) Which makes me wonder who got paid what to come up with this terrible tagline.

    I`m finished now.

Carmium - Right there with you. Heard tim horton`s use the words "ooey gooey" in an ad once and had a very similar experience.

And can we please stop making female voice actors laugh out everything they say on the radio?!
