And this was after Psy"s anti-American song came to light. Obama is a forgiving Obama.

PSY`s video has 931,401,621 hits on Youtube. It is currently the most viewed video on the site. That alone has brought a lot of money into the American economy through advertisements. More money will come in through purchases of his song on iTunes. When he is in town his entourage has to stay at hotels eat food etc... I think he has more than made up for some stupid comments four years ago. I`m not going to hold creative people to some ridiculous standard. Johnny Cash has sung about some crazy stuff and he has played for Presidents.

`No we don`t we target specific people`

Surely that is the only justification for a drone strike; that you have an identified kill-list target. Other than groups with live weapons in a combat situation.

One would hope you were targeting specific people, rather than being random.

No we don`t we target specific people. Sometimes civilians get killed in the process that`s the way it is and always will be especially when you show them using civilians as shields works.

Until last week I had managed to avoid Psy and Gangnam style. I knew it was going to be annoying and just never clicked on a link. And since I got rid of the telly when we went digital a few months ago I knew that there was such a thing but had never been exposed to it. Like Boxxy (?).

But then a colleague at the special ed. school where I work decided that a Gagnam video of our leavers would be a good send off. (Last year it was `School`s Out` with some nice special effects from the IT dept.)

So I had to allow it into my head. Utter pooe.

If the bugger had said that about my country I wouldn`t have had him through the door. Freedom of speech yes, but that doesn`t mean you have to shake his hand or have him as a guest.

MacGuffin, you are more psycho than I ever could have possible imagined.

He called for the deaths of basically every woman related to American military personnel, innocent ones. Daughters, mothers....daughter in laws?? You would think that, as somebody who pretends to be such a supporter of rights, that you would care.

You are legitimately a cold person. A fake person.

No I don`t talk politics at the titty bar. PSY promoted to torture and kill US citizens no I`m not ok with that. That infact is f**ked up which is why Obama shouldn`t have hired him. He probably didn`t know though.

McGovern, Let it go, man. People have the freedom of speech in the country, even if you don`t agree with their opinion. The president knows this.

He`ll disappear into nothingness when the next stupid meme song gets famous on the internet.

If they wanted to torture and kill all men, women and children in the US and I knew beforehand I would not buy a lapdance from them. End result of having a stupid opinion.

Why are there no "real" Americans on this site?

I think Obama agrees with just about everything PSY said back in 2004.
the leader of this country bringing his family to see a performer who sang about killing(slowly and painfully)the wives and daughters of American soldiers?
Only thing worse would be to invite (or have to see) Gaudbitch or Macfuggin.

"still doesn`t answer the pro yanky pose right now??"
He lived and went to school here for a few years. As I understand it, he liked living here and this was where he decided he wanted to be a musician instead of continuing business school and following in his fathers footsteps. Also, his recent hit has been very popular here, so now he`s touring with it. That`s not unusual at all. He`s not the first performer to do that and he`s certainly not the first performer to sing a protest song. Why did the Beatles come to the U.S.? Why did Jimi Hendrix go to England? To play to their audiences and further their music careers.

ferdyfred - It wasn`t his claim to fame. He was simply one of many people performing at a protest concert. Since then, he`s apparently served in South Korea`s military, gotten married, and had kids of his own. Are you the same person you were 8 years ago? I know I`m not. In the past 8 years my world view has changed dramatically.

I love how much "anti-American" is the worst thing EVER to so many people in this country. It`s as if they think America can do no and has done no wrong. Tens of thousands of innocent people have died for no discernibly legitimate reason because of American actions. Then Americans are SO shocked when other people in the world hate us.

F.uck. This is going to be Fox News`s leading story for the next two months.

Got to agree with Gauddith here. It was 8 freaking years ago, it was a protest song being sung at a protest concert and he didn`t write it - it was written by a Korean metal band. It was in response to an accident in which a U.S. military vehicle struck and killed two teenage girls on their way to a birthday party outside of Seoul. The driver of the vehicle was then acquitted which sparked anti-American sentiment. Quite frankly, if a South Korean military vehicle was driving down the road here and struck and killed a couple of kids - I dare say you`d probably be pretty pissed off and expressing anti-Korean sentiments too. Our service people are not always heroes - some of them have done horrible things, both accidental and deliberate. I suggest people come to grips with that and get over it.

Obama and PSY are like two peas in a pod: they are both capable of rationalising their past actions and beliefs they`d previously expressed and going back on their previously-held convictions to suit themselves. I can see why Obama would be drawn to him : it must be like looking in a mirror for him*.

You know, what I find funny is that was in 2004, Bush was in power, and Psy didn`t even write the song. The guy is alright in my book, idgaf what he sang about. I like his silly song, I like his silly dance, and I like his overall attitude.

Stop being pissants just for the sake of it, and let people make mistakes. You guys are some of the most judgmental twats on the internet, you`re literally one step down from 4chan.
