like Darwin said, they are slowly evolving to feed off the shore, few thousand years time they will out the dog as a pet, and postmen will be bitten by catfish on the lawn

    MMMMM Catfish! yum!

    4 catfish fillets
    1/3 cup yellow cornmeal
    1 tablespoon paprika
    1 tablespoon cajun spices
    salt & pepper

Sprinkle 4 (6-ounce) catfish fillets evenly with salt and pepper to taste. Stir together 1/3 cup yellow cornmeal and paprika, & cajun spices in a shallow dish. Dredge fillets in cornmeal mixture; coat lightly with vegetable cooking spray. Cook in a hot, nonstick skillet over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until fish begins to flake and is opaque throughout. While it`s cooking, splash however much tobasco you like on it.

Instead of oil you can use butter flavored PAM spray or olive oil if you like that flavor better.

Serve with some hushpuppies and a mess of greens.

From the video, it`s hard to say for certain, what is going on. The catfish could be trying to steal a smaller fish from the gulls, catching them by the foot as they do it. In the video, every bird they catch is either released or gets away.

Either way, it`s very interesting behaviour. Has anyone seen any further information on this?

We eat catfish all the time around here, only they call it Basa so people don`t know what it is. Comes from Vietnam. Is it widely sold in the US? Anyone?
