I was incorrect that President Obama is center right. I think my confusion is President George W Bush was so far to the right that it makes it appear that Obama is in the middle:

Wow, doubling down on your lie. Way to nail down your lack of character Crakrjak.

My full sentence was, "Liberals are disappointed in him only because he didn`t move far enough to the left from where George W had us." The word you are purposely ignoring is ONLY. Without that you are lying about what I said. But why change now. You have a history of doing this to people. You`re the king of the strawman argument. Why comment on a persons point when you can just change it to match the argument you want to make. Basically in doing this you are just playing with yourself.
he`s been quick on the trigger on foreign policy,
Oh yeah @patchy! He`s all over that `Syria Thing` eh? Like white on rice... two years it`s been going on now... 25,000 dead...

As for the Union Thugs: by NOT taking action, or even addressing the issue, he speaks volumes... he only picks a side if there`s political correctness on his side.

@FP Obama never has to say it, his lackeys and the MSM do it for him. Like `Honest Abe` Lincoln, he haad a right-hand man who did ALL the lieing for him!

@foolsowl: Reagan lowered taxes on the poor, and closed hundreds of "loopholes" on the rich. The net was a slight increase in revenue, so I guess that counts as raising taxes... unlike Obama who is taxing EVERY American with ObamaCare.
This country has moved so far to the right in the last20-30 years, Republicans would call Reagen a communist today.
That`s tough to say. I think a more accurate statement would be that the two primary parties have become more extreme over the past few decades.

While Republicans might abhor Reagan`s economic policies, we must also remember that FDR vehemently opposed public sector unions. Certainly many modern Democrats would consider this attitude "center right" or even "far right". Yet, just as Republicans tend to idolize Reagan, many Democrats tend to idolize FDR.

The real problem currently is that we are being taught to dismiss and ignore otherwise intelligent ideas by those who oppose our own.

markust:
President Obama is to the right of Reagan in so many ways.
That statement alone, should be enough to get you committed to a mental institution.
I did not say...
Oh yes, you did say
Liberals are disappointed in him
.
Which was disingenuous on your part. It`s laughable that you`re disappointed in him because he`s not leftist enough. Your ilk worship him like N.Koreans worship their "Dear Leader", Kim Jong Un. The left is entranced by Obama as if he was a hypnotoad.

Not going to waste my time responding to your statement Crakrjak. Taking a third of one of my sentences and turning it into something I did not say pretty much sums up what a dishonest person you are.

"This country has moved so far to the right in the last20-30 years, Republicans would call Reagen a communist today."

Absolutely. President Obama is to the right of Reagan in so many ways. If I was a conservative I would be happy at how far to the right the country has moved.

This country has moved so far to the right in the last20-30 years, Republicans would call Reagen a communist today. When we started to go into recession in the 80`s he raised taxes and increased federal spending, more than doubling the deficit, to get us out of it. What do you think today`s republicans would say about that if he was president now?
Obama is only `center right` in comparison to Josef Stalin.
Repeating that doesn`t make it true. He`s at most slightly left of center. He`s left gun control as is, he signed the NDAA, his "socialist" healthcare is actually less leftist than Clinton`s failed attempt was, because Clinton wanted to regulate the insurance companies through a National Health Board and Obama`s leaves the private insurance market as is (although now much larger), he`s been quick on the trigger on foreign policy, he`s escalated the war on drugs, he extended Bush tax cuts, the list goes on and on. If you were arguing that he is more left than centrist that`s one thing, but to say he`s some communist dictator who`s slightly right of Stalin is just asinine.

Oh I see. So it`s clearly Obama`s fault that the guy got beat up because Obama didn`t buy the guy a beer after. Brilliant logic there.

Yeah sure. That`s why they voted for him a second time, because of all the disappointment. Obama is only `center right` in comparison to Josef Stalin.
That pretty much tells us where you stand, now doesn`t it?

And regarding his golf habit:

"Now, there`s no question that he plays on a regular basis: 104 rounds from January 2009 through Aug. 4 of this year, the last time he played, according to Mark Knoller, the longtime White House correspondent for CBS Radio. That puts him about in the middle when compared with other duffers-in-chief. It`s less than Bill Clinton, and a lot less than Dwight Eisenhower, who played more than 800 rounds over eight years — four times as often as Obama plays."

Source

How about criticizing him on matters of substance?
And that`s Obama`s fault how?
@patchy: After a black man got arrested for breaking into his own house? Obama held the "beer summit". After Giffords got shot? He proclaimed how ALL Americans should be safe from violence (or something like that).
NOW a white guy gets beaten by Union Thugs and Obama says... nothing.
Obama has played his class warfare harp continuously,
True that @CrakrJak! He only knows two songs: "That`s Racist!" and "Tax the rich!" and he plays them all day long, over and over again.
When he`s not out GOLFING of course...

"Says, one of the most divisive people on IAB."

Whatever Crakrjak. If you are talking about yourself this makes sense. You are so divisive and so far to the right that Obama`s moderate position looks to the left when actually he is center right. Liberals are disappointed in him only because he didn`t move far enough to the left from where George W had us.

I myself am very inclusive. I don`t talk politics with my parents because I don`t want the division. I don`t talk politics on Facebook because I do not want to alienate my friends and family who do not have the same views. I don`t talk politics at parties for the same reason. IAB is pretty much the only place I discus politics with people who don`t have the same beliefs as myself. But even here I am very much into people tuning out the opinion media so there is less division.

"Says, one of the most divisive people on IAB"

Now that`s a funny statement.

"Even JFK moderated his position on taxes and he was one of the most liberal presidents of his time."

So did Obama. He moderated his position on the Bush Tax Cuts the last time we had this debate.

Even JFK moderated his position on taxes and he was one of the most liberal presidents of his time. Obama has played his class warfare harp continuously, it`s time he moderate and compromise before we go over the fiscal cliff.

This guy is about as funny as a car wreck.

Seriously I can sit through his whole schtick (If I`m feeling good and masochistic) and not so much as break a smile. There must be a whole lotta awkward silences whenever he decides to do off the cuff standup.

It`s getting to the point where fox news is more funny then Comedy Central.

And yeah when has any president represented the entire population. In fact when has any president represented more the 70% or even 60% of the population. STOP WHINING LIKE LITTLE BABIES.

oh and you think Bush didn`t take vacations... or through parties. He was on record as taking more than any previous president in american history.

Dennis Miller`s whole act is divisive now. How does he have the nerve to blame the president of that when he himself is part of the most divisive news organization in America? Just because the President has a different agenda than you does not make him divisive. Conservatives think anything that does not line up with their values is divisive, but that in itself is divisive. You have to laugh at how Fox News and MSNBC turns grownups into children.

This is just an example of more fabricated outrage from Fox News. They sent a reporter to a mob of angry union members intending to show them in a negative light. I don`t condone the violent reaction from the union members, but a reporter isn`t supposed to get into clashes like that. He should be there as an observer and just report the story. Fox basically got them to do what they wanted, so they could push their narrative and now they`re trying to say the president is guilty by association.

Right Dennis. If you want to know where the extreme division is coming from look around that Fox News studio. They started their anti-obama campaign as soon as the Democratic party nominated him for president. Also you might want to check your facts. PSY didn`t write the song you were bitching about. He was singing another groups song. But why let facts get in the way when you are on Fox. They don`t care.

Unedited footage also shows angry mob attacking tent at protest. The guy fell down but the footage doesn`t clearly show why though. Bear in mind I DON`T watch Hannity or Crowder regularly.

AJ: "I believe he`s talking about the guy who literally got beaten up by Union thugs for his views."

He deserved it. The unedited footage shows he shoved the guy first. So, no...Miller does not "make a good point". He`s a unfunny hack whose whole shtick is based on nervously laughing at his own jokes. Also, it`s unbelievable that he and others would call Obama "divisive" when from day one you tinfoil hat-weares were spreading lies about his religion, birthplace, and promising to do everything you could to make him a "one-term president".
