Submitted by: fancylad 4 years ago in Tech

We"ve all become pretty attached to our cellular devices--are we TOO reliant on them? Have they taken over our lives?

That being said, I really really wish I could bash that thing against the wall until it doesn`t work anymore. Before the Army, my cell phone was hardly on, and I almost never carried it on me.

Anyone who has been in the military knows that the cell phone is your leash. Even worse so, being an NCO... My phone never gets shut off or gets a break and it always has to be close by, never know what a private is going to do in the middle of night... *sigh*

So it`s Plato`s allegory of the cave combined with modern technology.

Says the guy on YouTube, recorded via a digital camera, whose message is spread via the Internet.

Kinda overthought that, hasn`t he.
He loves looking up restaurants on his phone? Well, isn`t going to the restaurant "real world" activity?
Damn hipster.

No, I do not think the things you experience on your phone is real life.

Put the phone away and experience something!! STOP STOP STOP thinking you have to share everything you do/see/eat/say with everyone and anyone.

Experience the fireworks without pulling the phone out.

Experience the sunset with your OWN EYES instead of through a screen trying to get the perfect shot to share.

Enjoy who you are WITH instead of telling everyone you AREN`T with about it.

PUT. THE. PHONE. AWAY.
