It was probably them protesting the Sandy Hook funerals that pushed Anon to this.

I hate Westboro Church but I also despise Anonymous. That must be the dream of the super-nerd, to be a part of Anonymous.

I agree, Gerry. Two wrongs don`t make a right.

But I would not object if someone wanted to drop a bomb on their church on a Sunday.
"however they begin infringing on the rights of others in the pursuit of happiness by trying to force their opinions on the public at large

That is a very dangerous road you are trying to go down. The act of attempting to persuade others that your opinions and beliefs are correct is not an infringement upon their rights. If it were, then so is every other argument."
As we learned in kindergarten, 2 wrongs don`t make a right.

Anonymous could have been so much more than they are currently if they`d stuck to campaigning and conducting cyber guerrilla warfare against government control, hypocrisy and censorship of the internet.

The thing they pride themselves on, having no real command structure is exactly how they`v ended up with these random attacks that haven`t got a narrow target. They could do more worthwhile things with a scalpel approach than this petty WBC poo they get from their scatter methodology.

The tech savvy guys I know generally used to see them as the little guy fighting a good fight on everyone`s behalf.... these days, as a result of some of their targets they`r seen more and more as just petty minded twats who target anyone that pisses them off - they should be determined enough in the bigger problems to let this trivial poo go.

How does this action differentiate from protesting a political event or abortion clinic?

Let`s say that a protester verbally attacks a woman about to get an abortion outside of the clinic. Does the attacker infringe on her rights? The answer, of course, is no. How is this different?

Don`t get me wrong - they are a bunch of dicks. However, they are not infringing on anyone`s RIGHTS; RIGHTS is the key word.

WBC praises god for killings in Connecticut. "We have no right to attack them. They have freedom of speech"

Mentally unstable man, prohibited from owning firearms, kills his own mother, STEALS her guns, and kills children and himself. "Nobody deserves to have guns. Your all a bunch of psycho gun nut murders for wanting one. Lets ban that stupid ammendment."

sutra46-"Peoples lives are at risk."

While I don`t agree with what Anon has done, I really don`t put too much value on the life of WBC `people`.

sutra46-"has the right to be an a$$#0LE but no one has the right to inflict or inspire direct harm."

Actually, the First Amendment states `Congress shall make no law`, and do not believe Congress has.

And INDIVIDUAL, on the other hand, is not contrained by the First Amendment.

They are, on the other hand, constrained by other laws. So, an individuals assault on WBC would not be about their First Amendment Right, but about charges of assault, harassment and such.

I see nothing wrong with this. They gladly go out of their way to infringe on people`s rights, and beliefs to get public attention to try and pass their beliefs onto others.

Maybe someone will stop by their places of business, or worship, or household, and protest the business or organization, only for the mere fact of who they employ, associate with.

@humanaction

I am not talking about their sermons at their house of worship. I am talking about them protesting at funerals and such.

No. That is a solemn private affair that has nothing to do with them. They infringe on the rights of others by being there amid a private procession.

I do not look to protect those that are so full of hate and righteous ignorance. Eff them.

You people have to be against everything that happens don`t you. Here you`re all shouting "they`re free to do what they want, whether we like it or not." .. make a post that says "America, land of the free" and all of you would say "FREEDOM?! HA! Yeah that`s a joke." You`re all a bunch of hypocritical non-nice individuals who want attention. (To those of you that really think these people should be able to kick a person when they`re down, you`re a dick, but you can disregard my comment).

I believe they have they should have the freedom to do what they want, and they do. They are protected from any legal action, and that is their freedom. Anything beyond that... Well, I think someone already said it, don`t bother people if you don`t want to be bothered.

I agree with sutra.

This is a blatent treat to the members. The one thing that must be remembered about this country is everyone has the right to be an a$$#0LE but no one has the right to inflict or inspire direct harm.

This is not a good idea.
Peoples lives are at risk.

All they do is hurt feelings. We can get over that. Or make placards to hurt their feelings.
The group has never been violent.
Anon should be charged for enticing violence.

they are all lawyers if you hadn`t noticed. they are protesting to bait someone into doing something they can sue them for. they are a cancer in the colon of humanity. i think the world will be a better place when they and those like them are gone. the only reason they aren`t all dead is because we have laws protecting the weak and the stupid. also, if you don`t want people to bother you, don`t bother others. If something bad happens to any of those people it will make my day.

"If you can`t leave someone to their personal beliefs why should I tolerate your`s?"

While i dont necessarily agree with Anon, the same thing, in reference to your quote above, could be said about WBC and their protests/thinkings.

I think George Carlin said it best: "Maybe I can turn them cancers against one another. That`s what you gotta hope for you know, that you get more than one cancer so they eat each other up instead of you."

Agreed. And one of those consequences is that we have to listen to idiots like WBC. But we don`t have the right to attack them.

So by posting this information What is Anonymous trying to accomplish? Are they hoping some lunatic is going to go burn down these peoples houses and businesses? In the end what will that accomplish? You`re just adding more gas to a fire that just needs to be ignored until it burns it`s self out.

They do have the right to believe what they want, however they begin infringing on the rights of others in the pursuit of happiness by trying to force their opinions on the public at large.

There are always consequences to free speech, some positive, some negative.

It looks like the Westboro dbags are about to really feel the consequences of their ignorant hatred and bullying of the public.

Stupid and Stupider.

Like them or not we all claim to enjoy religious freedom. Yet when a religious group does something we don`t like we attack or applaud the attackers. Anon striking another blow to freedom... for freedom? No, I had it right the first time.

If you can`t leave someone to their personal beliefs why should I tolerate your`s?

@Draculya I`m sure Westboro believe they`re `righteous` in their hit`s as well. Nobody is right if everyone one is wrong. People shouldn`t have all their personal information broadcast online no matter what they are.
