Big ole` 14+ on the box. Isnt that like giving kids a pack of cigarettes or booze?

(no complaints...lego rocks, this kid deserves it).

Cute story. However, a box of LEGOS should never cost $100 to begin with. LEGO prices are absolutely out of control.

The caption is unfair. I`m sure Mega Blocks would have been happy to send him a Lego set had he asked them for one.

Should have had the letter written out, couldn`t properly listen to the boy. Fair play to Lego though concour with HolyGod it`s ridiculous Lego costs $100 but then again there is obviously demand at that price stupid consumers inflating prices.

Lego is NOT expensive... given that it will last (almost) forever and is manufactured with a VERY high quality.

NO. I don`t work for LEGO.

    Just love it.

Usually if you know the kit`s model number, and they are still making the parts for it, you can order most any kit if you write to them.

It might take several months for them to get it all assembled for you and in some cases it won`t be in the store shelf box, but they do their best to keep their customers happy.

However there are some of the larger sets like the 10179 Millennium Falcon, they just won`t be making again. (The instruction book alone is almost as thick as a telephone book)

When I was ten I got a Barlow jackknife and a Remington single shot .22 cal rifle. My father was a paratrooper and I`d been instructed since I was five.

That was a great video. The very last pic almost made me cry man tears. The pure joy on his face; the watery eyes... wow.

Kudos LEGO. I have always been and always will be a fan.

I remember having my first real LEGO set. I won a weekend for my family beside a ski resort (well, my mom used to fill out a ticked for all in the family, i have won a car that way too when i was two..) and i got a mechanical LEGO set.. At that point all i had was big bunch of the ordinary blocks, secondhand from my cousins.. The day when i got that set.. what a day.. Finishing it up by watching 007 - For your eyes in the hotel movie channel, it only that had come out about a year before.. Was suppose to be a sleep at that time and my parents were VERY strict of what i could watch... So we kept the volume way down, parents on the next room.. :)

    LEGOs are the best.

well of course they can give them away. They only sell each lego piece for $0.25-$1.00 each. 3D printers will make it easy for kids to get their lego fix.
