I assume the artificial gravity generator is included in "life support systems."

There is a book at the library that details the millennium falcon way better than this. The book is set up like layers of the ship as one reads on. There are notes from Han in it also about what he did to `tweak` the ship. I suggest you look it up if you enjoy this pic.

This doesn`t seem to be well laid out. To get from the loading doors to the cocpit (won`t let me spell that correctly cause of the censorship), you need to go through the Main Hold, and the hallway first? What if you need to make a quick escape?

Millenium Falcon is the dumbest space ship design... EVER.

Okay, it`s kinda trashy-cool, but it`s a "correlian freighter" with no room for any FREIGHT.

    Thank about it.

I can`t believe I never realized the roosterpit was clear off to the side like that.

Correlian built fast ships, but they couldn`t lay out an efficient freighter for squat.

@the_windy, actually, the loading doors would be for cargo. The boarding ramp would be for your regular entering and exiting.
Think of the loading doors as the hatchback of a station wagon. Sure, you could use it and crawl all the way to the front, but you would use the door.

    Escape from Mos Eisley

jump to 25 seconds to see that the hatch on the side is opened, and not on the front.

Also, most ships should have an astromech droid of some sort (such as an R2 unit, or a T3 unit) connected to the ship to communicate with it and have direct control of it.
Which means, no matter what, an immediate take-off is able to happen.

it has only one toilet, and it`s on the opposite side of the ship from the c ockpit... if you see a bottle of beverage in there don`t drink it. it is not apple juice!

The freight elevator is in engineering on the
oposite side of the loading doors.

    Stupid ship.

Gerry, I think the freight elevator is for accessing the guts of the ship; the more delicate, encased circuitry, and to get to the hull to do repairs.
