Mervviscious, if you repeat something enough times, it becomes true.

The truth is, the reason incomes stopped growing in the 70`s is largely because of inflation. The inflationary policies of the federal government have destroyed income. Mitt Romney`s tax rates don`t make people poor. He could pay 0% and nobody would be poor because of that. Seriously, there is no logical continuity there.

And the democrats have no idea on how to grow the income of poor people, only give them free money, thus treating only the symptoms, not the disease. 16 trillion has been spent fighting poverty since LBJ`s Great Society, and the poverty rate is the same. We lost that war, just like the war on drugs.

If the House obstructs everything Obama tries to do, we MIGHT survive the next 4 years. After that, though, all bets are off. We`re going the way of Greece, and no one will be able to bail us out.

However, if the House goes along with Obama, it will all end up in the $#!++er before the end of his term, and he won`t be able to blame anyone else for it.

I favor the latter option. Give Obama everything he wants, and let the entire system collapse. Then we can rebuild it right. Remember, our side has the guns.

OldOllie, I completely agree. Lets do everything B. Hussein Obama wants to do, for at least the next two years. When unemployment hits 20%, the debt hits $20 trillion and Iran nukes Israel or New York, then we can rebuild from the ashes of Democrat rule.

so republicans, did you all forget how YOUR party under Bush desotryed the economy in 8 years?

IF WE SURVIVED THAT Obama is nothing to worry about.

Seriously, you should try to get some perspective.

    under Bush

two failed wars that cost us trillions and have not been paid for.

    BUSH failed to stop 9/11

the deficit soared to record highests

the debt soared as well and as much as you would like to blame Obama, much of the debt increase under him was already put in motion under Bush.

the list goes on and on so honestly, chill out, there isn`t much you guys can say about Obama that worries me when I think how terrible Bush was and we made it through that.

so sit down, shut up and try and enjoy the ride cus you aren`t at the wheel anymore.

    Crakr:
    You lost. Republicans lost.
They lost senate seats. They lost congressional seats. They lost the presidency. They lost the ballot initiatives. They lost on principle. They lost on their platform.

Seriously, check out the ballot initiatives.

Gay marriage. You lost. (Most voted in favour)
Marijuana. You lost. (Most voted in favour).
Taxes. You lost. (Most voted for increases).
Healthcare. You lost. (Most voted to keep it).
Social Security. Lose lost. (Most want it untouched).

But you still harp on about "The worst President ever", when all you can come up with against him is a bad teleprompter joke. 4 drating years of "That guy uses a teleprompter".

We get it. What more do you need to wake up to the fact that nobody gives a poo about a teleprompter?

I`m surprised.. it`s not like Crakr to try to beat a dead horse, post bullpoo, and then stop posting when that bullpoo is called out.

oh... hang on... yes it is.. it`s exactly like him.

Crackr... It`s not just that I disagree with your political stance why I don`t like you. After all, 5Cats has a similar stance on a lot of things yet I find him interesting to debate topics with... it`s that unlike him I`ve never once seen you on here admit something you posted on here later turned out to be bullpoo or that you`re open to influence given the right evidence. You only ever write opinion as fact and refuse to budge in the face of evidence.

It may be rare, but I have seen others with similar views to yours admit when they were proved wrong or proved to be posting bullpoo figures.

YOu never do... you either try posting more bullpoo to cover it up, or just disengage from a topic when you know you`re beat.

Failed Wars you say, but Obama claimed Victory in both of them! AND he surged in Afghanistan, I don`t recall you objecting to it...

    BUSH failed to stop 9/11
@jamie is a TRUTHER! lolz, that is SO FUNNY. Explains a lot, actually...
What exactly should Bush have done? Itemize it please - how the PotUS can stop a terror plot that began under the previous administration...
the deficit soared to record highests
    Um, under Obama you mean?
    6ooB under Bush = BAD!
    1,500B under Obama = GOOD!
Idiot. How about Obama`s 2008 promise to cut the deficit IN HALF not DOUBLE it?
    the debt soared as well...

"The Dow has slid two days in a row now..."

@CrakrJak That`s happened for the last 6-8 PotUS in a row, iirc. Some Wall Street`gamblers` bet on one side or the other, then sell-off after the election.
The difference is: Market falls a tiny bit under Bush = BUSH`S FAULT
Market falls under Obama = BUSH`S FAULT
4 more years of "Blame Bush` being the ONLY MSM answer.

    @Baalthy: You gloating too? Oy!
16 TRILLION in debt, and by 2016 it could be 22 TRILLION! Yes all caps! That alone = BAD PotUS!

@Listypoos: Thanks eh? However, @CrakrJak has apologised or admitted defeat before. Not often, that`s true, but then again most agruements he has aren`t "cut and dried" issues with ONE and ONLY ONE correct answer.

As for your silly links, the first one shows a peak in Dec. `06 then the results of the worst recession in 80 years. D`uh!
The second one shows the same huge drop starting in `08 but it bottoms out at Obama`s inauguration with improvement ever since, nearly reaching its peak of `03.
The last one is like the first, the recession hitting hard in `08, then Obama`s stimulus seems to have stopped that downward trend.

Now imagine if the obstructionist party of "NO!" would have let a couple more paliative efforts go through, we`d have seen some actual gains and improvements instead of just barely stopping the bleeding. We needed surgery and all the GOP allowed was a band-aid.

"@chalket is just a poo-thrower, never "discusses" anything..." (how the hell do I italicize here?)

Hey everybody! Wanna see some 5Rats lies?
@chalket: No, in fact THIS is your usual form of "discussion"...

If you had the slightest glimmering of knowledge on the subject, you`d understand that the Democrats took over the House (and Senate? I forget) in 2006.
Thus the disaster wasn`t "Obama`s Fault" per se, but certainly HIS party`s fault. AND Bush`s fault for signing those idiotic bills!

And NOTHING Obama has done has helped ONE IOTA!

(Except: Obama RE-singed Bush`s tax cuts, twice iirc. You know, the ones he PROMISED to get rid of? Yeah, you forgot that too eh?)

Obstructionist? Again I ask: HOW does a party with NO PotUS, NO House and NO Senate majorities stop ANYTHING? And if you chant "filibuster" I`ll smack you!
    #1 60 Senate Seats = Busts Fili`s!
#2 OTHER PotUS have passed bills without "supermajority", OTHER PotUS can negotiate even with an opposition Majority!

The Dow "slipping" for 2 days is just one drop of water in the ocean. All of the bullsh*t statistics Romney/Ryan were throwing out there during the campaign came from samples of data from relatively short periods of time to create the illusion that nothing was done or sh*t was worse.

Take Romney`s rant at one of the debates on permits to drill for oil. He said Obama approved 50% less permits which is false, there were 35% less. However, he failed to mention that while there were fewer permits approved, actual crude oil production was at a 17 year high in October.

"slightest glimmering of knowledge" You mean like you? No thanks. I prefer reality.

In the REAL world, a global recession has little to do with which party is playing house at the time. Thus the disaster was the fault of (drumroll) greedy CEO`s who have gamed the economic system in this country for the last 30+ years to the point where they can easily afford to buy our politicians. "Obstructionist?"
You answered it: FILIBUSTER! MORE THAN 400 OF THEM!

#1 How many freaking times will you spew that thoroughly-debunked Fox talking point?
Jan `09: 58 Dems in Senate (should have been 59 but Al Franken was contested for 7 months)
April `09: Arlen Specter switched to Dem, making 59.
May `09: Robert Byrd was hospitalized, back to 58.
July `09: Franken finally gets in! Back to 59.
August `09: We lost the great Ted Kennedy. Back to 58.

So, exactly WHEN did we EVER have this mythical supermajority?

Charisma doesn`t equal character. Obama is a clown, he was clueless when he stepped into office and he`s just as clueless now. He`s not a leader, a leader doesn`t rely on polls and partisan pundits to tell him what to say or do.

The ballot initiatives were in deep blue states, it`s no surprise they won there. As far as healthcare and SS, I`m not aware there were any individual ballot issues involving them at all.

5Rats: So sorry to confuse you... exactly how did I "utterly change the subject?" Just rebutting the points you brought up. Try to keep up, would you? (btw: the word is "biscuit")

Who`s fault? The Grand Obstruction Party, of course! No, it is NOT "the oppositions JOB to OPPOSE," not in politics. They traditionally (meaning pre-Tea-Party) would discuss and debate and occasionally even COMPROMISE! <gasp!>

Frankly, I find it a mystery as to how the GOP/TP could so often keep such a unified front on their side. Quite impressive (and depressive). With such total control there really weren`t any "squishy votes" to find.

    "A Repub even crossed parties"
Yes, but still not filibuster-proof. Why did he switch? "Since my election in 1980...the Republican Party has moved far to the right. I now find my political philosophy more in line with Democrats than Republicans."

@chalket: I asked why OTHER presidents were able to negotiate with their parties in minority positions, BUT OBAMA can`t even do so with a solid majority!
I asked when did the GOP fili- Obamacare... oh yeah! The Dems negotiated and got a bunch of them to vote in supoport! AMAZING!

YOU blathered on about "record numbers" as if ONLY one side is responsible for that.

    THAT is changing the subject.

Arlen Specter is a stooge. He sat on the Warren Commission ffs! He was ALWAYS a RHINO so what, again, is your point? OH YEAH! It`s impossible to get him to vote for the Dems! But he`ll actually change parties... wait, what?

This is to be expected @chalket: YOU get your `facts` from lefty tweets! LOLZ!
"Oooo! Someone tweeted it, it must be true!"

Oh yeah, you also constantly toss poo (insults) which -totally- makes you look -so- smart!

You keep bringing up Obamacare as if that bolsters some point you are trying to make. Now you`re saying your point is that Obamacare "WAS PASSED... with Repub support?" Is that what you`re saying?

The House vote was 220-215. Only ONE Republican voted for it. The Senate vote was 60-39, with ZERO Republicans voting for it. Is that really what you call "Repub support?" Gimme a break!

(I didn`t pay much attention to the silly waste of time and money that was the attempt to impeach Clinton, but I do know your reference to Hillary, nice try.)

5Rats: I answered you. Other presidents were never so thoroughly obstructed before. You said they were, and I asked you for links or citations. Still waiting...

Please also cite some evidence for your claim of "got a bunch of them to vote in support" since JUST ONE Repub voted for it! Back up your idiocy once in a while!

Are you saying that the GOP did NOT shatter all filibuster records? Look it up. (and
it was right ON the subject, but whatever, you just make up the rules as you go.)

Arlen Specter was elected as a Republican for 44 years! Some RINO, eh? (yeah, there`s no `H` in it) Why is it that, in your mind, a moderate, centrist Republican is not a Republican? And your derisive comment about the Warren Commission? Do you think the JFK death was a conspiracy? Is it possible we agree on something? Whoa...

Lastly, I do not tweet, do not read tweets, I`ve never been to Twitter.
