    And the lesson is: the system is still broken, so don`t participate in it, unless you want to be tainted with the blame when whomever the next President is ignores the will of the public again and starts yet another illegal war.

    Illegal war ROFL!! One that you`ll partake in no less. Tell me now when have wars followed laws as much as people try when we start killing each other rules go out the window.

    "End women`s suffrage!!!"

    Uh ... is that really what you meant to say ... Women`s Suffrage: "is the right of women to vote and to run for office"? <.<

    suffrage = good
    suffering = bad

    @Runemang - There was a stunt by Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla on the Man Show where they took to the streets to "end women`s suffrage". A depressing amount of people fell for it. I`m going to give GOTOGuy the benefit of the doubt and assume he was giving that a nod.

    That`s not Susan B Anthony. That`s a picture of a police assault on a Suffragette protest in London in November 1910, a day known as Black Friday. Two women were killed, and several hundred injured. It caused major embarrasement for the PM Asquith and his home-secretary, Winston Churchill.

    "LoL. I take it back. I would *not* hit that."
    I`d defend her person.
    Then, dust her off.
    Sit back to back with her in the clink.
    Pay her fine.
    Walk her home.
    Accept her Saturday tea invite.

    While at tea...
    Me: *spit-take* "*cough, *cough"
    SBA: "Oh, my, Mr. Code!"
    Me: "Vote?! Is that what you were doing?!!"
    SBA: "Well... Yes."
    Me: ""
    SBA: "I don`t know what to say except... I prefer clams to franks..."
    Me: "God-DAMMIT!!!"
    SBA: "MISTER CODE!!!"
    Me: "Sorry. It`s just that I had this elaborate fantasy of being with a woman who`s making history."
    SBA: "I`m sorry."
    Me: "I`m still up for another registration office go."
    SBA: "You`re trying to guilt me into this, aren`t you?"
    Me: "Yep!.

    It was thuggery like this that gave women the vote. Decent men realized that this was wrong, beating and imprisoning women who only wanted to exercise a basic human right. Every time I vote, I remember that when my grandmothers were born, women did not yet have that right. By the time they were adults, they could vote, but their mothers had to wait until they were middle-aged to do so.
