    Double A++ for the wind turbines. In the States, all it would take is one assh*le 30 miles away who didn`t like the aura of people getting electricity from a renewable source and they`d squash the idea of having free power. Dumbasses.

    @Slotherder: LOLZ! But no... NyanCat flies forever!

    @Wolfstar: Yes, tulips.

    @Fancythat: Um, no such thing as "free" energy, DUH!
    Wind turbines MUST HAVE other sources to back them up. They cost (by themselves) 3X or 4X as much as "traditional" power... hardly FREE eh?

    PLUS: They sound like earthquakes! Everyone HATES them if forced to live near them!

    Cost too much? check!
    Don`t reduce Global Warming? Double Check!!
    Actually makes matters WORSE? Triple check!!!

    @5Cats

    Don`t be an Idiot, Holland was BUILD becuase of windmills, basicly you lay a couple of dams, build a few windmills to pump the water our and Viola, half of the netherlands appeared, doesn`t get any cheaper, cost effecient, and climate neutral then that. Consider the amount of industry we had, how much of that was based around windmills and how much pollution we had in those day`s i`d say it`s time to get your head out of your ass and face reality.

    It`s about being in the correct geographical location. Like with all renewable, you don`t put solar panels in the arctic circle where you get constant night. Or in very cloudy overcast places. You put them in deserts and sunny places. Wind farms work well in Holland and Scandinavia.

    That`s my house...and there are windmills and windmills. These are the latter. Holland was built using the former. Also flour is produced with the former and angry 5cats with the latter.

    @rockebooster, @MrOrange, I`m happy to report that @carmium, @MacGovern AND @Saunder have all pointed it out already! :-)

    THAT is a "Wind Turbine" a very modern invention.

    Windmills were used for grinding grain all over the world, and for good reason: they work really well! Not every location had a suitable "Water Mill" site, eh?

    Manitoba Mennonite Heratige Villiage We used them in Canada too! But yes, Holland is easily the most famous for having them.

    Meanwhile: wind turbines STILL do not make "free energy" it`s still double or triple the cost of other (traditional) methods...

    The cost of wind energy isn`t important. It doesn`t pollute and doesn`t rely on a finite energy source.
    It`s the way forward, along with solar energy and wave energy methods.

    Where do they pronounce turbine like turban? At least we pronounce "about" correctly and don`t use "eh" constantly. Bite my red white and blue a$$.

    @RdDan: And the co-generators REQUIRED for the "free wind power" when the wind doesn`t blow??
    Oh? Doesn`t compute in your "utopia" eh?
    Well...

    "The cost of wind energy isn`t important"
    LAUGH my freaking ARSE off! Your STUPID ELECTRICITY BILL is pretty freaking important? EH?
    Stupid-arse lib-tard! FFS! Grow a brain or something!

    @Andicicle: Om nom nom nom! :-)
