Playing dress-up is considered a racist thing in the USA?
So white chicks is considered an offensive movie and transexuals are considered discriminating?
What`s next? A non-Indian kid who dresses up on Halloween as Ghandi would be considered racist?
Or half of the visitors of a comicon are considered offensive because they pretend to be Japanese anime-characters?

It`s the act itself that is considered racist. As long as these people don`t dress up like negro`s to mock them, there`s absolutely no way this could be offensive.

More concerning is the bloke on the right in the dress.

I say concerning, but frankly if he wants to, what the heck.

Isn`t this more classist than racist? "Aren`t we funny, because we`re dressed up as people from the poorest continent in the world when we`re actually middle class westerners?" Actually it isn`t classist, racist, or very funny. It`s just "poor" taste.

maybe not "racist" but blacking up like the singing minstrels is a bit weird.

Why has that woman got fruit on her head?

Fannylad strikes again, ripping apart innocence and projecting his own distorted view.
CaptKang sums up the imbecility of the post remark very well.
Oh, by the way, lets bring religion into this again: Jesus is always portrayed as a golden-haired Caucasian. Is that a form of inverted racism? They land where he was purported to come from does not have a lot of light-haired people. Does this make the christians racists?
Time to grow up Fannylad!

Somewhere along the line, people kinda forgot that racism is about intent and not perception.

so no non black person can dress up as a black person, ever?
hope this idea does not apply to men dressing up as girls and viceversa

they look like they are dressed up for some sort of cultural festival, not the traditional blackface golliwog mashup
