Hydrophobic Sand - Science!

Made by exposing sand to trimethylsilanol vapor. The trimethylsilanol coating is hydrophobic & makes sand un-wettable.

It can only coat silicon, so I doubt it, but perhaps.

This had been around for decades. It`s a kids toy called magic sand or aqua sand.
