@sourkraut: you would be hard pressed to find a list of great existentialists that doesn`t include Nietzsche.

@Burton Ian: Nietzsche was a nihilist, not an existentialist.
Heideggar and Satre are well worth reading, but I`m disappointed no mention was made of Albert Camus. In my eyes the greatest existentialist writer in history...
