Link: Disney & Barney`s NY Present Electric Holiday - Skinny Minnie looks really weird. They`re trying to make her sexy and it looks really perverted.

"perverted"... She`s been showing her underwear ever since she was created. Her boyfriend doesn`t wear a shirt, and his friend doesn`t wear pants.

What happened to the days when Minnie dreamed of being a doctor, or a scientist? Oh wait, that never happened b/c as far as Disney is concerned, little girls should only dream of being supermodels craving attention from celebrities... that`s perverted

reuw klaxor. The one thing i like about disney is that in the netherlands they bring out the donald duck comics and they are a lot more.. realistic? in a way any way.

As a hoby i also try to get old cartoons of em. you really wanna go look at them too. gun slinging bastards ,the lot of em.

What i truly find funny is that the disney corparatin is one of the biggest pushers for stricter rules on copyright even though they got big by coppying just about any great movie and story in the last century. just ever so sligthly tweeking it but Very obviously soo. hell, i got two different versions on how they ripped of teh star wars story line, it even uses references to it, but it isnt a copy apperantly cause they can run it, no questions asked.

nah, if you wanna find something worth while in cartoons, disney is not the place to look, which hurts me to say, cause i do like the Donald Duck stories.

Man, this reminds me of Fantasia. We really need another Fantasia. It`s way overdue.

    That was enlightening.
I used to think cartoons were supposed to be entertaining.
    Now I know better.

I`m not going to say that was bad, or boring... so I`ll just say nothing at all I guess.

Why The Drat did I just watch Dat?

    I hear that @klaxor!

"they got big by coppying just about any great movie and story in the last century."

Also VERY true @Modwain! Even Mickey Mouse is "inspired by" an older character whose name eludes me...

Disney: Don`t steal our stolen stuff!

@JaundiceCake: I thought a re-make of Fantasia came out already?

    Fantasia 2000 = Yup!

You mean like the little girls who grew up to be fashion editors, consultants and publishers of magazines? Yeah, must suck for those little girls who became executives.

Gerry, I don`t see any fashion editors going out and saving the world, healing people, or inventing anything. Regardless, I`m not against the fashion industry. I`m against the idea that this is the only option pushed on little girls. And those positions that you talk about aren`t what are being shown. The skinny girls, with loads of eating disorders, self esteem issues, and who don`t make any money, they`re the ones who get the attention

5Cats - Mickey Mouse was based on an earlier creation of Walt Disney, Steamboat Willie.

Ummmm. No. Steamboat Willie was just the title of the first Mickey Mouse cartoon.

    wtf? a fashion-industry fawn-fest?
I think someone at Disney must have traded this for a few designer dresses

Too cute. For some reason, it doesn`t show up here. You have to go to Barneys.
