So apparently God exists because God knows everything and has provided proof of his own existence by telling us in some way that he exists. Of course, those miracles and holy words don`t prove anything at all about the existence of anything, so it doesn`t matter what God knows or is.
I liked what was said by a character on TV recently. "God doesn`t have to prove himself to me, I have to prove myself to God!" So if you think about it, what proof does God have that YOU exist?

It`s alright, I`d be f*cked up in the head too if my dad was Kent Hovind. For those who are really bored, look him up. Evern the batsh*t-insane Young Earth Creationists/Evolution-Deniers such as Answers In Genesis have tried to distance themselves from that guy, and that`s saying something.Wikipedia has a fairly concise synopsis on him.

p.s. He gets out in 5 more years.

Am I the only one who finds it hilarious that the kids name is Chad?

You have to be all knowing to know there is no all knowing God ?

People who worship the Father, Son & Holy Ghost but still claim it`s monotheastic can talk themselves into anything.

@HolyGod

Same thing in my house. There is no discussion regarding religion with the kids. So long as nobody else (like my grandmother) steps in and tries to brainwash them I am going to keep it that way until they are old enough to form their own opinion. When that time comes, if they like, I will share my opinion with them.

Evidence =/= Proof.

Neither exists concerning the idea of god.

So nice to see the tide turning on this crap. Every generation buys into this nonsense less and less.

I`ve NEVER once told my children my opinion on God in any way. At their age I think it is perfectly appropriate to believe in God just as it is perfectly appropriate to believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny.

Even though I haven`t told him my opinion on God and I`ve only asked him questions, my son, at 7, thinks the concept of God is ridiculous. That is what happens when you don`t brainwash and indoctrinate people and you allow them to make rational intelligent observations.

Worst argument ever, he didn`t even seem to understand his own position that clearly.

At least he didn`t quote scripture, I`ve seen people do that.
How can you convince me that God I don`t believe in exists, by quoting a book that I don`t believe to be the word of god?

@LillianDulci - exactly, proof of God and existence of God are separate, proof that stands up to the rigour required of law or science doesn`t exist.

Christian Apologists are maddening. Rhetorical shell games as proof of god. Circular arguments that attempt to trick someone into making illogical statements so they can claim victory in a debate. He tried to do it to the kid and the kid was not having it.

So, let`s see: if you don`t know everything, if you don`t hold *all* knowledge of the Universe and beyond, you can`t know anything with certainty?!

That`s about the most lame and idiotic argument I`ve heard yet for the existence of a Higher Power.It`s possible this guy could be outdone in the lame and idiotic department, though. I guess only God knows for sure?

The kid asked a simple question, where is your proof? The guy came back with a stupid argument that pretty much lost everyone in the room.

I hate that when he asked the question, the guy stood up pulled up his sleeves and got all loosened up like he was some sort of subject matter expert and has probably used that argument dozens of times if not more.. He probably should have just stayed seated and let someone else handle that.

It`s not on an theist to prove God doesn`t exist, it`s on the Christian to prove he does.

Christians trying to argue that God exists within the confines of Christian rules really handicap themselves. This guys sounded like a total moron.

Lmao xD Not hard to pwn this moron though. I loved the bit at the end where he asked "could you be absolutely sure that there`s no proof of god?" and the kid answered truthfully that yes he could. Because the question wasn`t "could you be absolutely sure that there is no god?" :P
