I think Republican politicians should consider just not not talking about rape anymore. OK, it might gain them a few more rapist votes but it just reminds everyone of that rumour about Romney and the decapitated stripper.

I don`t believe it myself, but it just keeps resurfacing.

She is an educated, intelligent & successful in male dominated industry. I do want to listen to what she has to say.
AND she is talking about issues that directly affect her as a woman.
Besides she is funny and a good actress.

I`m just waiting for a rapist to say in court "Your Honor, it wasn`t really rape. She`s pregnant for Christ`s sakes". I don`t know why any woman would vote Republican. Men controlling women is the Republican platform. The latest thing is Richard Mourdock saying that if a women gets pregnant from rape, it is a gift from God. Once the baby is born, however, they don`t give a damn about it. Well, they do want it to grow up uneducated and ignorant enough to vote Republican to perpetuate the cycle. But that is it.

`Not that I disagree with her, but why do I care what a comedian thinks on politics again...?`

Why do you care what a comedian says about airplane peanuts? They`re both funny.

- Why should anyone care about what YOU have to say about politics? You`re just some guy. At least Tina Fey is a Woman and can, y`know, have babies.

skypirate, "reproductive rights" means the right to choose how and when (and when not) to reproduce.

Ok, so the views of a middle aged rich guy who bases his opinions on a narrow-minded interpretation of a 2000 year old book (when they aren`t based purely on financial or political advantage) are valid, but those of someone who bases their opinions on common decency aren`t? Yeah, that sounds reasonable.

And as for her being "only a comedian" - the tradition of public comedy being used to question authority has a very long history. In fact, it goes back almost as far as we *have* recorded history. And last time I checked, rape is not actually a political issue - if some moronic politician feels the need to make offensive, derogatory comments about a serious rights issue, then it`s fair game for anyone to offer a riposte, which should be judged only on merit. No matter what they happen to do for a living.

i find it funny that the center for reproductive rights fights for abortion. not going one or the other on abortion, but it is in fact the complete opposite of reproduction. abortion literally stops reproduction...funny choice in a name

I`m not really a fan of Tina Fey (she`s not bad or anything) but it`s sad how much sense this makes yet isn`t going to make a difference.

@TruTenrMan
So you`re saying that because of her job we shouldn`t really pay much attention to her? In the same way that you [insert your job title here] are more important to listen to on politics than she is?

It`s also sad how dm2754 and TruTenrMan(and many others) don`t view actors as humans living in this world now.
GGs lads.
