Is the momma cat taking the picture? Cause pretty sure the kitten is in more danger than the baby. If the baby got clawed it would be a good thing. Teaches boundaries.

careymon, have you ever been around a young cat? They have extremely sharp claws (sharper than adult cats) and don`t seem to know how to retract them. Yeah they baby could potentially hurt it but the cat`s much more likely to hurt the baby.

That kitten is so young if it tried to hit the baby it would miss. Besides, the baby doesn`t have teeth, so the kitten isn`t getting hurt, and therefore the kitten isn`t going to attack. Hell, to the kitten this really isn`t that different than getting licked by another cat.

I see this more as conditioning, if it deals with this as a kitten it`s more likely to be used to it as an adult, and it`s just a little kitten anyway... How seriously injured could the baby get? The poor thing is probably just confused.

@keith2: Um, I think that child is around 1, not even close to 2 years old... (perhaps you mean "less than 2"? That`s accurate!)

And yes, the kitten is likely not in danger, they`re pretty tough! The baby is about to "learn a life-lesson" though...
