Submitted by: DrArliss 4 years ago in Entertainment

Another day, another case of excessive force. But this guy should have known not to lay his hands on a Philly cop!

It want fine until again the guy is down and then starts the revenge... He was aggressive, needed to be restrained, takedown, everything was allright.. Until the mandatory revenge.

Looks to me like the cop knew exactly what he was doing, he is sticking his chin right in the guys face pratically begging him to take a swing. His job is to difuse the situation and make an arrest if required not escalate it to the point where smashing a guy in the face is "required" and I use that term loosly as he was already being held down by 2 other guys.

Bet that made you feel like big men fellas, bravo.....

i don`t have a problem with some loud mouthed arsehole getting a beat down for assaulting a police officer that is deserved. but i do have a problem with the two jigaboos holing the guys arms back while said cop smashes him in the face at point blank.

Someone should have decked the woman as well... I certainly don`t advocate for that sort of thing, but I do tire of people who act so belligerent when they know that it is someone else who will fight for them.

Sorry but the guy had it coming. You assault an officer he will respond till you submit. I would of done the same if not worse if i was the cop. The guy clearly has no qualms about hitting you so whose to say a knife or gun isnt next. Once he was on the ground he was clearly resisting all the people and in order to make it safe you have to beat them till they cooperate. I see perfect force.

People may say will i agree when i amt he receiving end of this? well i don`t plan on ever slapping a cop so i wont be. Now if the slap didn`t happen then yes excessive force. But since he assaulted(even if it was minor its still assault) he got what was needed for him to not want to do that again.

Don`t ever touch a police officer. Be polite, say yes sir or no sir. Ta-daa, no more videos like this one.

I did say "something like this" meaning where a cop uses wildly excessive force. I did not say "exactly like this" where he might have had an excuse due to the life threatening girly slap he received to go completely over the top and try to beat a man to a bloody pulp after he had been restrained by two large security guards.

I`ll say it again, as this is a repost. One day a cop doing something like this is going to get shot in self defense. It`ll be on tape and the shooter will walk. Note "something like this".

ok so in this scenario.. the civilian attacks a cop, the cop responds in kind to arrest him for assault on an officer, the civilian shoots and kills the cop. what part of that is self defense?
he gets life in my state.

And what`s funnier is the same people that argued on the first post are arguing on this repost`s thread also.

Yeah, MeGrendel and MacGuffin, I am talking about you. Go look you two were at it on the first post as well. Same argument different day. Does macguffin even watch the videos anymore or just comment on every cop video there is?

MacGuffin-"You slap an authority figure = life-changing injuries"

If you slap ANY person, you risk `life-changing injuries` or even `change of life-status`.

Life is not `fair` or `appropriate`. Life is not a boxing match of two equally matched opponents following the rules, both wearning safety gear with a referee to make sure it`s fair.

Life is when you slap someone and they pull a knife or gun on you. The fact that this guy was an officer of the law is the reason the beating was not worse.

If you attack someone, they are under no obligation to respond in an `appropriate` or `measured` way. Very likely their response is going to hurt and/or kill.

And this is true in all countries and all societies.

The SMART thing to do is, don`t attack someone. You might get your ass handed to you.

And yes, cops can go too far, but thats what courts and the judicial system are for. You use them to win. Not think you can fight your way out of it.

Excessive force? I think you are mixing up the words "Assaulting a police officer" with "excessive force".
Sorry, slap a cop and all bets are off.
That`s the trouble with America. An authority figure slaps you = that`s perfectly OK. You slap an authority figure = life-changing injuries inflicted by uncontrolled gratuitous violence is perfectly acceptable.

I hope you guys never vote for the wrong candidate, or insist on real choice. Because if you do you`ll find out the contempt your authorities really hold all of you in. Whilst it`s just a some individuals you don`t know in videos like these posted on the internet, it`s easy to pretend it couldn`t some day be you on the receiving end.

That big stick -- along with the pepper spray, the tazer, and the gun -- should tell you something about how it`s going to turn out for you.

Cops aren`t paid to fight fair; they`re paid to win.

Cu*t was ramming that stick into his face, could have took his eyes out. Whether the cop got slapped or not, you don`t go doing that. I hope he gets a terminal disease.
