It`s absolutely ridiculous....and a wee bit sinister.

but i`m with Gerry on this one..it`s no more ridiculous or sinister than pretty much every other form of religion though.

robosnitz: Very correct sir. Mormons have some of the happiest, cohesive, loving families I`ve ever seen. There are far more dangerous and frightening religions to believe in. Their belief in `magic underwear` threatens no one.

What scares me about Mitt Romney running for President is that either he`s really been fooled by this group, or he`s picked one of the worse possible religions to pretend to belong to for political gain.

The reason I say him being fooled is scary is because Joesph Smith was proven a fraud in court before and after writing the Book of Mormon. I can`t recall ever hearing about any other leader of a religious movement being found a fraud in court. So if the guy believes a known fraud, than what else will he believe? That is a scary thought for someone who may be about to control a powerful nation, and yet no one brings it up in the media.

Some eat bread and wine representing the blood and flesh of Christ. Some handle snakes. Some chant at a wall for hours and don`t eat bacon. Some fly aircraft in to buildings.

So? I don`t see them flying planes into buildings, killing innocent people or blowing themselves up in order to kill people not of their faith, in the name of Allah. Compare Muslims to Satanists, and even the Satanists seem pretty tame. And which US president was raised in a Muslim environment? Hmmmmm,.....?

`These same sort of accusations have been aimed at Masons and even Catholics before. Guess what, neither have taken over America.

More scaremongering to cause divisiveness and distrust.`

So how do you feel about anti-Muslim dialogue?

Yes this is pretty far out there...BUT... Compare this to some of the s@*t Obama`s "personal mentor" Rev. Wright has preached and I think eachone of them has some religious skeletons in the closet. At least Romney has not ran from his to win votes like Obama did. You can not tell me he did not know what Wrght was about after sitting in his church for 20 years.

Funny how christians, muslims, etc. find all this morom nonsense ludicrous, when their own beliefs are just as freaking stupid.

umm CHRISTIANS, you still think that the mormon guy is ANYTHING like you or shares the same God as you?

NEW FLASH, Elohim, is NOT the same God, he is a seperate God above Jehovah according to Mormon`s.

in other words, they worship a different God than Christians.

so yea, totally vote for the white guy!

This is serious secret society cloak and dagger free mason poo. I don`t want anybody who`s retarded enough to fall for this poo to be in charge of anything.

Being a casual christian is nothing like this nonsense, don`t even try to compare the two. One says, be a good person, the other says knock three times and tithe all your money or go to hell.

All religions are nuts, however most of them have been around long enough for their constituents to know that most of it is bull***! Excluding the Muslims of course. Mormons haven`t been around for too long so give them some time to notice the fallacy. Otherwise there are good and bad people in all branches.

Scary that this country may well elect aguy as president who believes in all this stuff. I`m a Christian, but I don`t believe in a lot of the more crazy stuff out there. Romney does believe this at least nominally. Behold the coming of ZION!

carmium-"could be a serious candidate for the US president."

So, a video of a sermon at a church that Romney does not attend is relevent, and yet four years ago a video of a sermon at a church that Obama attended for 20 years that had a preacher degrading America and shouting `GD America` was not?

Hypocrisy much?

Somebody show me a religion that isn`t stupid to anyone not of that religion.

Meh, not really a big deal to me when you think about some of the beliefs of the other major religions. I do think it`s funny that, after four years of crazy rumors about Obama, the Republicans decided to run the only candidate who has a more foreign background to most Americans.

Our religion is right! Not yours! You should convert and behave the way we tell you to because people can`t just be civil and know what`s right and what`s wrong all on their own. Also, we need 10% of your earnings.

I find it astonishing that a believer in this idiocy, so clearly invented from the imagination of Joseph Smith, could be a serious candidate for the US president. I doubt there`s another country in the world where this could happen.

Crazy? Yes, but no more crazy than transubstantiation, or emaculate conception.

The mormon "vow" to avenge the death of profits; how is that differant from Pat Robertson shouting hurricanes and earthquakes are gods revenge on the US for gay rights?

Sure the mormons are nuts, but aren`t they all?

I looked through it again, and I really don`t like that he goes into hearsay and association fallacies, he was doing so well about keeping to facts otherwise.

Disregarding the political spin doctoring, this was quite informative and interesting.

No more or less rational than eating the literal flesh of your saviour or worshipping the goddess dancing upon the skulls of her dead devotees.
