Link: Hurricane Sandy Just A Couple Hours Ago - Hang in there, East Coast. Remember, you can turn to I-A-B for warmth and protection... if you still have electricity.

Frankenstorm won`t hit my area until tomorrow morning, or tonight at earliest, so I still have electricity.

My power has been flickering for over an hour. The wind (upstate NY) isn`t bad. Don`t know if it will be worse later, but I would guess no more then 30 MPH gusts 10-15 MPH steady.

HOPE THOSE NEARER THE COST RIDE THIS OUT SAFE!

On the plus side, if New York City gets wiped from the map, those pesky terrorists will no longer have a a target- AND, we get rid of a cesspool. Now, about Detroit...

I`m about 40 miles inland from ac, it hasn`t been terrible here, lots of rain though. Right now it is eerily calm,so I am guessing this is the eye. I have a generator ready to go but hope my luck holds out when the wind picks back up.

You can go screw yourself, CaptKangaroo. NYC is not a cesspool and it is home to over 8 million people. NYC is my home and your comment was rude, crude, and tactless. Get a clue.

Considering the fact that this was taken in Arizona, I`d say this is a pretty big storm.
