Link: Vice Doc: Garbage Island: An Ocean Full of Plastic - As if polluting a hemisphere`s worth of the ocean with plastic weren`t enough, we`ve also poisoned the food chain.

Seems like every couple of months or so I hear about garbage island. Has it made it around the world yet?

"As if polluting a hemisphere`s worth of the ocean with plastic weren`t enough, we`ve also poisoned the food chain."

Nice grammar - well done. I do like it when people know the difference between "weren`t" and "wasn`t". ;-)

Also, after the first person said "just as scientists change what they are observing..." I couldn`t watch any more. So incorrect.

effin this, effin that, effin gross, effin exciting.

If you want to make an intelligent point, speak intelligently, not like a 13 year old who`s leaned a new dirty word.

How long until Crakrjak comes into this thread, explaining that not only is there no Pacific garbage patch, but also that it`s not toxic or harmful to the planet?

I did my best to try to make it through this whole documentary, but Vice reporters drive me crazy. First of all, this could have easily been shrunk down to one chapter. We don`t need to know how much these hipsters suffered on the boat trip to the gyre. Secondly, if these guys are going to reference Graham Greene and Joseph Conrad, you`d think they would learn to report with a little more eloquence and levity.

To be fair its all crap.
I could waffle on for ages, but I will give you one example
I work for TE Connectivity, A Yank firm. Who endlessly harps on about its ethics blah blah,
We have 3 skips at work, cardboard, plastics, and bio hazard, One truck arrives twice a week, and chucks all 3 skips into one truck, say no more
