amazing presentation, but I think he could have done without the bible-bashing. There are many good Christians that support SSM, but unfortunately, our voices are drowned out by the rabid, radical, drooling mouthbreathers.

@jtrebowksi - speak louder! Christianity needs you!
Like any sane person, I thought this ad was a bad joke. For the sake of ALL economies, I hope this kind of 1950`s mentality backfires and keeps the Tea Party out of office.
Republicans: don`t regulate corporations, regulate vaginas instead!

It`s says at the bottom of the ad, just before this guy cut it off, "Paid for by the campaign for American values PAC www.cvapac.com and not authorized by any candidate or candidate`s committee."

It`s not an ad from Mitt Romney`s campaign or even the Republican party.

Besides, Obama himself said he did not support gay marriage when he campaigned in 2008 and that he would support the defense of marriage act. So all I see here is a group pointing out one of Obama`s flip-flops.

Keep ignoring the injustice that is right before your eyes!

...and, I wouldn`t call it "flip-flopping" so much as "choosing to do the right thing".

"A marriage is between a man and a woman"

So where does that put intersex individuals. No, I`m not talking about peopel who willingly have sex changes, but people who are naturally born with and extra chromosone. About one is 750 births, there is an extra chromosone (like XXY men) and sometimes missing Chromosones (Those born with only X or only Y). These people don`t always have significant physical differences, but by the scientific definitino of man (XY) and woman (XX), these people just don`t line up. So can they not get married by this definition that marriage has to be between a man and a woman?

    CJ: "

You`re right. it`s from a super PAC donating money to Romney, and, unless you`re clueless on politics, you know that there is an understanding that the people behind the super PAC will get a return on their investment. Amusingly enough, by trying to take the blame off of the candidate, you`ve exposed the lunacy of what conservatives fought so hard for....the Citizens United decision. Now you`re seeing how it`s biting them in the ass.

Your right. African Americans and the poor for the most part do not poll. Obama has a lot larger advantage than the polls are showing.

Yesterdays Gallup Poll are in for Election 2012 Trial Heat: Obama vs. Romney. Clinton`s speech pushed Obama up 2 points. Obama`s speech pushed him up another to a 4% lead. The Republican Convention did not change the polls at all. There was zero bounce. What were you saying in another thread about where`s that bounce AJ? I`d say it is here. And Obama`s Job Approval shot up to 52% and his disapproval sank to 42%. That is what I call a very successful convention.

The government shouldn`t be involved in ANY marriage.
Marriage should be a personal decision between adults and can be legally bound by contracts without a government`s definition of "marriage."
This way anyone can marry whoever they want. I really don`t care who gets married. Or even how many people they marry. Gay? Polygamy? Marry your toaster? Whatever. It`s not "my" definition of marriage, but it doesn`t affect me in the slightest.

"What right blah blah blah does one group have to define marriage?"

Well - everyone is trying to `define` marriage in these debates. One group wants the definition changed, one group doesn`t. He rants about using logic, yet his tirade is riddled with logical fallacies.

The definition of marriage matters. It is why when people claim that someone is using the slippery slope fallacy argument that it reinforces this point.

Person A: Next you will have someone marrying their dog!

Person B: That is a logical fallacy - slippery slope!

Person B reinforces that there will be a line that won`t be crossed - they just want the line moved.

(Person A is also an idiot, but society will always have lines - they are important.)

Regardless of the visual representation (it is hard to take someone`s views seriously when they cannot be given in an unbiased, analytical and thoughful manner) this was given in, the kid does raise some valid points.

I don`t understand how something that really is a non-affecting issue for at least 75% of Americans has become so incredibly powerful in this election. Don`t we have larger things to worry about?

As a gay man, I couldn`t give a good tiddly squat about gay marriage - (a) having that piece of paper does not legitimize or affect my personal relationship(s) at all, (b) since my partner(s) and I believe in keeping separate assets and finances, who cares about that, and (c) I don`t want the headache of possibly facing a divorce.

Let`s get the real problems solved and then worry about the icing on the cake.

markust: Keep telling yourself that Obama will win despite the fact that no president has won re-election with over 8% unemployment, since FDR.

This isn`t a recovery it`s a `Wreckovery` and it`s because Obama has no prior business or leadership experience.

At least Romney and Ryan actually have plans, Obama is wandering around clueless.

@CJ, The number 1 search on Google after Obama`s speech was "voter registration". Keep telling yourself Romney has a chance. Oh BTW he wants you to get off your ass and get to work because he sick of paying taxes to benefit people like you. Then he wants your medicare and he`ll eventually take your SS. So never mind that he hides his money from Uncle Sam. You`re the problem. That`s the logic you support in a nutshell.

And your claims of business experience making for a good president doesn`t hold up to historical fact. Afterall George Bush was a Harvard business graduate and a business man (same as Romney) and historians rate his presidency.... well you know..

The panoramic from the Republican Convention is all you need to see why I have confidence that Obama will win. Try to find the African Americans. This was a little easier when the picture first came out. People had created snapshots with titles like Black Person 8. It was sad and funny at the same time. They have deleted all the snapshots.
