    That`s a chimpanzee, not a monkey.

Apes (gorillas, humans, etc) lack tails.

    Monkeys have tails. Just FYI.

I don`t even class that as a tool. A tool is specially made for a task, not just picked up off the ground. When chimps strip the leaves off a twig and insert it into a termite mound to "fish" for the insects, that`s a tool.

Birds, Dolphins, Octopi, and Ants all use tools as well. I prefer the "Planet of the X" where the animal doesn`t look nearly as similar to us.

    That`s not a monkey...

We used to consider tool use as exclusive to humans. Now we know that many animals use tools. Many of the great apes use them. Orangutans have been spotted trying to spear fish with pointed sticks, and chimps use two sticks to pull termites out of a mound. And of course birds have been known to use objects as tools as well.

Even otters and crows use tools. It`s not the benchmark it used to be.

Lots of animals use tools like crows, beavers, and dolphins. This does not even include the animals that use materials to build shelter, like birds, rats, and wasps. And then others make hunting tools like fish who spit water at bugs, tarantulas who hide trap doors with leaves. It`s an amazing planet.

bah, this isn`t all that impressive. I`ve seen republicans use tools and if they can do it a Chimp should easily be on top of it.

Very true, birds, beavers, dolphins, etc have been doing this forever. And yet thousands of years from now, they will STILL be birds, beavers & dolphins. I feel bad for evolutionists, they will soon find out that santa, the toothfairy, and cookie monster don`t exist either. :(

Tool, not `tools`. Republicans only have 1 tool...The BIBLE!
They`ll hit you over the head with it, cram it down your throat, and stain your child`s brain with it in schools.

    A very versatile tool.

I don`t see how this is evolution. Intelligence, but not evolution.
That`s because it isn`t. Innovation at best, because even if this were a selective trait, individuals cannot evolve.

That is an ape not a monkey, and they`ve been doing that since they first evolved.
