markust123: Propaganda can be used to `prop` `agendas` up to keep the truth from being sought. Maybe people in your nation believe that propaganda, (it seems split about 50/50), but outside your nation, very few people side with that propaganda, and are more interested in the evidence. Thank you.

markust123: Understandable. It`s a natural reaction to be afraid to question the motives of government and media (who we trust to protect us and keep us safe), especially when the evidence goes against what they tell us.

There is a story written about this strange type of reaction, it`s called The Emperor`s New Clothes (Notably the people who witnessed his new clothes)

Wow, TheGuySmiley, you`re a 9-11 Truther? Wow. You know what, on second thoughts, that actually explains a lot.

If I had lost family in 9-11, I think I`d actually be insulted by Truthers. We know exactly who did it, how they did it, and why they did it. Let the dead rest easy instead of raking up this ugly conspiracy theorist crap.

davymid: coat it any way you like, but the fact is that there`s been enough reasonable evidence brought forth to cast doubt on the official report, and even enough to warrant an independent investigation.

Personally, if my family had died in this tragedy i would want to know the truth. If you had died in it, and found yourself aware of what the world thought, wouldn`t you want your family and the world to have closure on the issue? Maybe we owe it to mr Cosgrove, and the other victims, we owe it to ourselves, and we owe it to future generations.

The truth will set us free they say, so that would mean lies and delusion will enslave us.

@ davymid "If I had lost family in 9-11, I think I`d actually be insulted by Truthers." I am someone who lost family in 9-11 and i am a "truther" There is no doubt in my mind that the powers that caused this were "closer" than we were told. so as that being said all i can say is 1 dont assume what you would do and 2 dont insult us by speaking on our behalf. i speak for me and everyone else that has gone through it speaks for them. dont need someone who does not know to speak for us ... now that is my rant i will also say let them all rest in peace ...

Smiley, There has been no `reasonable` evidence of any such conspiracy. MIT computers and engineers simulated the collapses and actually said the towers held up longer than expected.

I don`t expect you`ll believe that though, after all some people still believe JFK was shot by conspiracy and that we never landed on the moon.

Today is just not the day to be `troofering`, so please just stop.

Look, Smiley, I`m not going to get into it again with another truther moonbat. I`m a professional scientist by trade, and I firmly believe in the principle of Occam`s Razor. That is to say, basically, that the simplest explanation which is the least convoluted and tortuous, is more often than not the correct explanation.

Explanation 1: Islamic fundamentalists hijacked planes for a terrorist attack on America and flew them into the WTC and other buildings. Afterwards, they told us how they did it. Gloated about it even.

Explanation 2: The American Government deliberately massacred 3000+ of it`s own civilians, while posing as Islamic Terrorists, planting timed demolition charges all over New York skyscrapers so they could bring the buildings down, presumably so they could bring about some sort of "New World Order" (as you moonbats like to say). An operation that of enormous proportions, thousands of people involved, with no leaks whatsoever in many years.

As I said earlier, as a scientist, Occam`s Razor is generally a good bet. If it looks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck, chances are it`s a Duck. Especially if the Duck dances around your lawn afterwards singing, "See what I did? Yes, I was that Duck!"

Anyways, I`m outta this thread. There`s only so much crazy I can handle in one day. As for the victims of that horrible day, I can only wish them and their families the very best, and may they rest in peace.

TheGuySmiley - the evidence is pretty solid that the impact of the planes damaged the buildings enough so that they could no longer support themselves beyond the time they lasted. In fact, the designers of the building designed it to withstand a weaker jet impact and were surprised that the building lasted as long as it did.

You can watch the videos all day long. It`s obvious that a large portion of the exoskeleton was removed and weakened and that it was only a matter of time. The buildings collapsed from the top section down, and as soon as they started moving the rest of the building was not going to stop them.

There was no conspiracy. There was no cover up.

    TheGuySmiley:

It`s one thing to say there`s reasonable doubt cast on the 9/11 report.

Trust me, I`ve dug up and listened to every 9/11 conspiracy argument I could find. The problem with these arguments is that they`re just horsesh-t, plain and simple. Absolutely incoherent, pie-in-the-sky drivel. You beg and plead with a "truther" to come up with some kind of loosely-held-together theory about what might have happened, and... nothing. You can`t get an answer from a truther, he just responds to each question with five more questions. And what few statements they do give you defy grade school science. You can`t even poke a hole in any of their arguments, because it`s like trying to poke a hole in a tattered fish net.

So please don`t tell the rest of us to wake up. We`re awake and we`re asking plenty of questions. We just can`t seem to get a single sensible answer from you people.

dayvid: both of those are not the simplest explanations.

    The simplest explaination is this:

    Controlled demolition.

Look at the video of the buildings falling

    Controlled demolition

    How?

    Idk

    Why?

    IDK.

But it looks like a controlled demolition.

intrigid: i`m not telling anyone to wake up. I`m saying there is enough evidence to cast doubt on the official report, meaning that there should be a real investigation into the events that happened, to bring true closure to the issue.

But what i`m seeing is responses from folks (in here) that this is not a valid suggestion. It`s like there is a type of mindset where it`s assumed that anyone who questions the official 9/11 story likely spends their weekends at Roswell, searching for UFO`s, or wearing tinfoil hats. But it`s not so, and this is actually a psychological attack that a lot of people fear to face, or who can`t stand up against. The purpose is not to answer pressing questions. Instead, to choose the path of assassinating the character of anyone who dares ask such questions.

I`ve trained my entire life for psychological warfare, believe it or not, so i`m not afraid to ask such questions. Y`all could benefit from a litle training.

auburnjunky: I`d also like to just point out how that Occam`s Razor does no supports Muslim attack. While you could say terrorist, you are only showing bias if you say Muslim. Because no bodies were recovered. For all we know it could have been a drone, controlled by the government of the same nation the attack took place.

Besides, relying too heavily on Ooccamp razor is unwise, because it is not a law of logic, nor even a scientific procedure, but rather a rough guideline. While it can help logic and science, the fact remains that it has been known to fail.

OK, I was going to go to bed, but one last post, because you`re being THAT guy.

Neither of us are Architects, right? So, Occam`s Razor, let`s go. If you want to demolish a skyscraper, you could either fly a jetliner full of fuel into it at velocity, wait till the fire takes hold and it collapses floor-by-floor, or you could do a deliberate controlled demolition from the bottom to kill all those civvies. You know, CIA all over the basement, planting C4 on beams, hundreds or thousands of guys involved in the logistics. Either way, that building`s coming down.

Point is, both would look the same, to a layperson like you or me. Right? Same objective, bring the building down. Just because it looks like a controlled demolition to you, doesn`t make it so. My explanation would be, maybe you missed the bit where a f*cking plane full of fuel crashed into the f*cking building. I wonder if that had anything to do with it coming down? Your explanation would be thousands of secret operatives, all working for the US Government, or CIA or the Freemasons or who knows what, all of whom have kept silent over the years. Cause those book deals don`t pay enough if you`re a whistleblower, right?

    Occam`s Razor, right there.

It`s not a valid suggestion, mainly because there is not a single person or group of people in this world capable of performing a cold-case investigation that is both A) competent, and B) immune to accusations of bias or incompetence.

Face it, no matter what investigation is done, and by whom, the "other side" will never accept its findings. Why waste taxpayer money on something so blatantly fruitless?

davymid: i never provided an explanation, i think my words were IDK (which is why we need an investigation). It didn`t need to be some government agency, heck it could have been the owner of the towers itself.. money can buy a lot of silence, and something like this could have been planned months in advanced, with a small and dedicated group, to fool many people. Plus i fail to see how occams razor applies to a building falling at near free fall speed, as if there was no resistance. If the top had fallen down, crushed the next 30 floors, tilted to the side, and fell off, there`d be no question... but boom boom boom right to the ground at near free fall speed, it`s obvious something was taken out to lower it`s resistance. No we`re not architects, but isthiswherei posted a video of what architects think.

    It IS an inside Job.

It`s not a conspiracy theory. It`s not crackpot tinfoil hat delusions.

    IT IS COMMON SENSE.

WTC 7 proves it, beyond a doubt.
49 story buildings NOT hit by an airplane and randomly catch fire DO NOT FREE-FALL down to the ground via implosion.
If that were the case, any building on fire becomes an instant deathtrap. Everyone should move out of Manhattan. It`s just too unsafe... buildings could fall at any moment!

    Jesus.

    WAKE UP.

There are so many unanswered questions--and there should not be. Not one. They should know exactly which bolts failed... not shipping the scrap metal offshore as quickly as possible.

It is the greatest insult, the greatest dishonour to those who were murdered.

And it is counter-productive to insult those who ask questions or who see beyond "the emperor`s new clothes."

How bad does it have to get before people wake up?

Your "supreme truth" govmint have played all the card on the lies deck so maybe you can understand why the "conpiraciez" have a fertile land to grow. You dont want "conpiraciez"? Sadam was attacked because he played games with weapon inspectors making it look like he had WMDs. Which he happened to use on his own people after the Gulf War so to say he wouldn`t give said weapons to the Taliban to attack a country he despised is not a far fetched idea. It pretty pointless to talk sense into that greaseball mind of yours you already have far too much spite for the USA.

Shut up, you human wastes of space and energy. You just listened to someone die, you heard the fear in them and the desperation, the helplessness of the people they reached out to in their final moments. You actually heard, on the phone, as the world crumbled around them and they fell into the void from which man does not return...

And all you can do is point fingers? All you can do is try to dig out a conspiracy? For the sake of your own smug vanity? Stop, for just a minute, and be humbled by the terrible power of the fate awaiting all of us.

    F*cking assh*les.

First was against comunist, now is against evil muslims. The fact is one, you allways need an enemy if you want to be the emperor. No enemy, no power.

piperfawn: Saddam was funding numerous terrorist organizations, even paying the widows of palestinian suicide bombers. There were verifiable meetings between Bin Laden and top Iraqi officials and they even offered him a safe haven there in 1999.

In the mid 1990s Saddam was rejecting baathism and was becoming more islamist, He started a "Faith Campaign" in which he began to build mosques, changed laws to outlaw public drinking, required Baathist officials to attend prayers and held Quran reciting competitions.

Saddam may not have funded the 9/11 hijackers, but he certainly supported them ideologically and was certainly willing to help Bin Laden in anyway he could.

People die and is a tragedy, the fact this american man died was tragic too but not worst than all the dead your civil country have given to the rest of the world. What i have read here ,from people like you, when some video of civilian killing ,done in foreign country against the "evils muslims", was posted here was just enjoiment and happiness. So shut up, you want compassion, give compassion.

Saddam was not a threat. As if a 3rd world backwater could threaten the US. President Bush sent the head of the IAEA to Iraq to report on WMDs and his conclusion was Saddam didn`t have any. George Bush said Hans was wrong and went to war anyway because you know he was so damn bright...

piperfawn: There were no meetings between the Bush family and Osama Bin Laden. That`s an outright lie you should retract.

His family, in Saudi Arabia, disowned him because he was so radical as to make threats against King Saud. The Bin Laden family, sans Osama, are not radicals, support their king and supported the US vs. Iraq.

Apparently you`ve misread something in the blogosphere or are just being specious. A visit by the Bush`s to Saudi Arabia and shaking hands with a wealthy Bin Laden family member that disowned his nephew, Osams, is not a `meeting`.

Madest: Saddam was a threat, not just to America or Israel but to the whole region. He had the 4th largest army in the world, chemical and biological weapons, over 500 tons of uranium and a record of starting wars and genocide.

@Piperfawn, I`m sorry, would you like to produce evidence that I find joy in the deaths of others? If you can`t (you can`t) then shut the f*ck up. This has nothing to do with nationalism. This has nothing to do with race or culture or anything--this is a window into the last moments of a human life. It doesn`t matter where this was filmed, and it`s not an American-specific thing. I just think it`s petty of people to try and use this as a launching point to preach their own agendas.

i.e. You. You are the assh*le here. I would feel just as deeply affected by any deaths caused through American agency. Because this is the one thing we all share in common, no matter what--we are going to die one day. We will be pushed over that edge, through one means or another.

And if you can`t look at that and feel a bond of kinship with every living human (or even other creatures), there is something very wrong with you.

To the people who think the terrorist attacks were some Bush conspiracy, why does Al-Qaeda proudly accept responsibility for the attacks? Why did Osama hide and not use this opportunity to humiliate US by trying to convince the world that the attacks were a conspiracy?

This guy was in a horrible situation and I know that I would be very scared. But honestly, this guy is a bit selfish and being a jerk. He is telling the operater that him and his two buddies need to be rescued and complaining in an insulting way about how he is not getting help. There are hundreds of people in his situation, it is very dangerous, and the emergency services are doing their best to help everyone! He should not be so aggressive and mean.

But the ending gave me chills. That was horrible and sad.

I wouldnt say a "Bush" conspiracy, I`d call him more of a puppet in the whole thing. Also, at first Osama Bin Laden vehemently denied that his group had any role in the attacks, but then all the sudden a few days later he was claiming responsibility. It is simply to say that the government involved in this went to him and told him what to say. Offered him money I`m sure. Also if you were in that situation, I dont think not being rude or insulting would be running through your mind, there are many more things that would be running through his mind. It was fight or flight for his survival and since he couldnt really escape, he had to fight. A sad day it was when those in the government decided profit was more important them human lives.

OK .. I get it, I`ve read a lot of these posts and even before that have done a lot of thinking about what 911 has grown to represent, I don’t ever post onto these threads but I think I have a point of view worth sharing.
And before I jump into a broad perspective on this topic, I want to point out that my heart does go out to the families, and individuals who have had to pay personal with pain and loss, caused by the inequality and injustice that did and continues today as a result of the insane financial warfare games that have left the majority of planet in some desperate state for survival and dignity. But alas to that I say why not spend a week with families in Syria or Lybia, Iraq or Iran (really what are we trying to contain? These countries have gone with no involvement from anyone for the last however many years, but all of a sudden we need to get involved? Why?.)

Like most I remember exactly where I was and what was happening around me that morning. I was stunned, I was shocked, I was short of being scared, but I did have what I would describe as a fearful realization. I knew instantly this would lead to war, and a big one.
As I was watching the news outside a cable satellite reseller in the mall in Toronto, I watched the towers burn. I saw and heard the commentary and I felt angry. Not angry that the someone or some small group would have the vengeance and odacity to perform such an act, but that we as the most glutanous people on the planet would have ingnorantly allowed ourselves to become such a high stake target, a predictable highly valuable pawn, a fat pig target whose ignorance and continuous unjust manner of abusing foreign nations resources and political and financial systems should be so shocked and appaled at what we had allowed to happen. And that we would allow the action of such a small group of people sway the future

It was a strange day. I`m from Finland and in my hometown they had CNN on testchannel (they rotated cable channels as a test so you can decide if you like to buy that channel..) and i happened to woke up about excactly when the first plane hit. Started the day like usual, put coffee on, turned tv on, nothing else was on but CNN.. The building was already smoking when i saw the second plane hit.. Didn`t have to be rocket scientist to see that this is a big one. Phoned to a girl i fancied, she worked close by. She came over and we were dating from that day on... Disastrous relationship followed. Really weird and scary day.
